In this video, youโll discover how to stop Microsoft Word, Word Layout view, and PowerPoint from automatically changing your keyboard language while typing. If your input language keeps switching randomly when you move the cursor, press the space bar, or edit existing text, this tutorial will help you fix the problem step by step.
Automatic language switching is a well-known Microsoft Office issue. Word Layout often detects text language incorrectly and forces the keyboard to change without your permission. This usually happens when working with multiple languages such as English, Arabic, Hebrew, Thai, Greek, French, and many others. PowerPoint users face the same frustrating behavior.
Many people notice that when they click inside an English sentence, Word instantly switches to another keyboard language. When typing Arabic, Hebrew, or Thai text, pressing the space key may suddenly change the input language again. This problem affects multiple versions of Microsoft Office and is especially annoying for translators, students, writers, designers, and office workers.
This easy tutorial shows you how to:
Disable automatic keyboard language switching in Word
Turn off automatic language detection in Word Layout
Fix Microsoft Office proofing and language settings
Prevent Word and PowerPoint from changing input language
Solve the issue permanently without removing spell check
No need to reinstall Office or remove languages from your system. The solution works on both Windows and macOS devices.
