00:17Hyundai has developed a special edition of the IONIQ 5N in collaboration with the legendary Japanese drifter Keiichi, known as the Drift King.
00:25This exclusive variant will celebrate its premiere at the 2025 Tokyo Auto Salon and has already been presented in an official video teaser.
00:37The Diki edition is characterized by numerous modifications that are apparently aimed at improved drift performance.
00:46Visual highlights include a new front splitter with a carbon fiber finish, striking side skirts and a large roof-mounted rear wing in a swan neck design.
00:55Turn signal extensions with a dark glossy surface stand out against the matte white of the body, while green accents emphasize the nerformance brake calipers and other details.
01:07The DK edition logo can be found prominently on the C pillars and the tailgate, which underlines the special edition's exclusive character.
01:18Keiichi Uchiha himself appears in the teaser video, underlining his collaboration with the Hyundai division.
01:25Back in 2023, Hyundai had already released a video in which Suja drifted the IONIQ 5N on an Australian racetrack.
01:36The Drift King described the Korean electric vehicle as fun and playful at the time and said that it fundamentally changed his perception of Hyundai.
01:43Although Hyundai is still keeping quiet about possible performance or chassis modifications, we do know that the standard version of the IONIQ 5N draws an impressive 650 horsepower from two electric motors.
01:58This allows the car to accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in just 3.4 seconds.
02:06Electronic features such as the NTK distribution with drift function could have been further optimized in the DK edition to make the driving behavior even more exciting.
02:15Full details of the Hyundai IONIQ 5N-DK edition will be revealed on January 10, 2025 at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
