00:00Welcome to our latest video from the AutoMagazine Tuning Blog, where we introduce you to the
00:11impressive BMW M3 Touring by RC Schnitzer. Unfortunately, we don't have any video footage
00:18of this extraordinary vehicle available, but the photos are so spectacular that we have
00:22to present them to you in the form of a small video anyway. The BMW M3 Touring by AC Schnitzer
00:29is a real highlight for all parents with petrol in their blood. It took over 30 years for BMW
00:36to launch a touring version of the legendary classic sports car, the M3, for the first time.
00:44Although an estate car usually embodies a certain understatement and belongs more in the family
00:49car scene, the development team at AC Schnitzer saw the perfect challenge in this apparent
00:53contradiction. They wanted to further optimize the M3 Touring, which was already well established
01:00in series production, in terms of improved sportiness. The sixth model series G80 G81 is the most powerful
01:08M3 generation ever. And the same applies to the AC Schnitzer versions. Never before has there
01:14been so much power and driving dynamics in an M3, especially in a state car. This extra power
01:21and sportiness can be felt in every driving situation with the M3 Touring from RC Schnitzer,
01:27whether on the racetrack, in everyday life or on public roads. AC Schnitzer provides the engine
01:34power with a performance upgrade in two expansion stages. In the first stage, the output is increased
01:41from 375 kW and 510 hp as well as 650 Nm of torque to 434 kW, 590 hp and 750 Nm.
01:54For those who want even more power, the expansion stage step 2 is intended, which increases the
01:59output of the M3 to 449 kW, 610 hp and 750 Nm after the AC Schnitzer treatment. In addition to the
02:09performance upgrades, AC Schnitzer also offers an impressive exhaust system for the M3 G80 and G81.
02:17With the performance upgrade step 2, the AC Schnitzer double sports rear silencer with two
02:22carbon sports trims on each side as part of the scope of delivery. This exhaust system is not only
02:29a sensible addition to the performance upgrade, but can also be used as a standalone conversion.
02:33The exhaust provides a powerful, sporty sound that will make the heart of every tuning fan beat faster
02:41and at the same time improves the exhaust gas flow. The chassis of the M3 G80 has also been optimized by
02:49AC Schnitzer. With the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit, which lowers the car by 15-20mm at the front
02:58axle, while the standard springs remain on the rear axle, or with the RS coilover suspension with
03:03adjustable compression and rebound damping including a lowering, every M3 driver will
03:07experience when cornering that the true feeling for driving dynamics comes from HN.
03:14The philosophy of rather fast than hard is evident in the tuning of the chassis,
03:18which is noticeable in every situation.
03:20The handling of the AC Schnitzer RS coilover suspension is basically the same as the standard
03:27with good-natured load change responses and gentle understeer at the limit.
03:32Nevertheless, significantly higher cornering speeds are possible with the AC Schnitzer RS
03:36coilover suspension, while still being absolutely comfortable for everyday use.
03:41The dynamic package from AC Schnitzer is rounded off by matching rims and wheels.
03:45The AC 3 wheels in silver tracyte or anthracite silver are available for the BMW M3 as lightweight
03:53forged wheels in 20 inches. These wheels combine less weight with the same wheel diameter, which
04:00benefits the driving dynamics. In addition, the mixed tires offered improve the road holding of the M3
04:06models. On the front axle, the AC 3 lightweight forged wheels in 20 inches are equipped with tires in size
04:15585-dure 30 hertz R20, while tires in size 595-dure 30R20 are used for the rear wheels.
04:26Alternatively, the AC 1 wheels in the same dimensions are also available as light alloy wheels in 20 inches.
04:33Another important aspect is the aerodynamics of the M3 Touring G81.
04:39Improving the downforce values is the focus of every aerodynamic conversion.
04:42For the tuning professionals at AC Schnitzer, functionality comes first, followed by looks.
04:50The aerodynamics package for the M3 Touring is based on a black front splitter on the front axle,
04:56which can be installed without additional paint and increases the downforce values of the M3 by up to
05:0140 kg. Front side wings are also used, which were developed specifically for the M3.
05:07The chassis of the M3 G80 is also optimized by AC Schnitzer.
05:15With the AC Schnitzer suspension spring kit, which lowers the car by 15-20mm at the front axle,

05:45The handling of the AC Schnitzer RS coilover suspension is basically the same as that of
05:50the series, with good-natured load change responses and gentle understeer at the limit.
05:54Despite this, significantly higher cornering speeds are possible with the AC Schnitzer RS coilover
06:00suspension, while still offering absolutely comfortable everyday usability.
06:05The AC Schnitzer dynamic package is rounded off by a matching rim and wheel package.
06:11The AC three wheels in silver anthracite or anthracite silver are available for the BMW M3 as
06:17lightweight forged rims in 20 inches. These rims combine less weight with the same wheel diameter,
06:22which benefits the driving dynamics. In addition, the mixed tires offered improve the road holding
06:29of the M3 models. On the front axle, the AC three lightweight forged rims in 20 inches are fitted with
06:38tires in size 585 Dürer 30 Hertz R20, while tires in size 595 Dürer 30 R20 are used for the rear rims.
06:47Alternatively, the AC one rims in the same dimensions are also available as 20-inch alloy wheels.
