00:00Welcome to the new video from the Car Magazine Tuning Blog, which today is about the GWMW-03.
00:11Great that you tuned in. If you liked the video, don't forget to subscribe so you don't miss out
00:17on any exciting topics from the world of cars. It's impressive how the Chinese car market is
00:24developing. For a long time, Chinese manufacturers were primarily associated with electric cars here
00:30in Germany. But GWM, or Great Wall Motor, is showing with the Wayo-03 that there's more to come.
00:37From 2025, the large SUV will no longer be available only as a plug-in hybrid,
00:43but also as a classic gasoline engine and as a full hybrid. It seems that manufacturers from
00:49the Middle Kingdom are increasingly diversifying their product range, probably also in preparation
00:53for possible punitive EU tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles. The new drive variants could
01:00further increase demand in Europe. A look at GWM's current sales figures already shows that they
01:08are well on their way to establishing a stronger international presence. In September 2024, GWM
01:16sold 108,400 new vehicles worldwide, an increase of 15% over the previous year.
01:22Growth outside of China is particularly impressive. A total of 44,100 vehicles were sold abroad,
01:30accounting for 40% of total sales. This means that after just the first nine months of 2024,
01:37GWM has already surpassed its overseas sales from the previous year. From January to September,
01:43three of the 24,244 units were sold outside its home market, representing a whopping 53% increase over
01:51the same period last year. With such figures behind it, GWM's confidence in the European market is easy to
01:58understand. To further strengthen its position in Germany, GWM has restructured its European organization.
02:07Great Wall Motor Netherlands Sales BV, GWM NL, has recently been appointed responsible for coordinating
02:14activities in Europe. Nevertheless, the proven collaboration with national sales partners,
02:19such as the Emile Frey Group, which serves the German market, remains in place.
02:25This realignment underscores how important Europe is to the Chinese automotive giant and how confident
02:30it is in long-term growth in this region.
02:36In addition, GWM opened a new spare parts warehouse in Amsterdam in the third quarter of 2024.
02:43This warehouse is strategically located near major seaports and airports,
02:47which should improve the availability of spare parts and further optimize customer service.
02:54Thanks to the close cooperation with the partners, service networks,
02:58customers can therefore expect even faster and more efficient service.
03:03It will be exciting to see how developments surrounding the GWM-3 and the variety of drivetrains develop from 2025 onwards.
03:11Perhaps we will soon see even more Chinese models on our roads, posing serious competition not only in terms of electric drive,
03:21but also in terms of gasoline and hybrid engines.
