00:00Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has made clear that the late win against Fulham at St James' Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon
00:08can have a knock-on effect in terms of momentum going forward for the Magpies in their future games.
00:16Newcastle won 2-1 against the London side at St James' Park thanks to a late winner from Bruno Gimaraes.
00:22And the Magpies next take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup at St James' Park.
00:27Yeah, I think it is. We've seen many times, I think, historically, when you score late goals, it's not just the game that you've won that is affected.
00:38It's, hopefully for us, the mood, even the attitude when you're in that position.
00:45Again, there's more belief that you can find a winner, that you've got players that can decide games.
00:50So I think it has a big knock-on effect, just like we've had to battle the other way because we conceded late at times this year
00:54and you have to battle that becoming a habit. And to break that today, I think, was really important.
01:00My eyes would now go straight away to reviewing this game and then looking at Tottenham and there's no rest for us.
01:06But I've said so many times this season, I'm enjoying the games and the players are the same.
01:11So looking forward to that one.
01:12And Middlesbrough head coach Rob Edwards has taken accountability for his side only being able to manage a draw against Wrexham in the Championship at the Riverside Stadium at the weekend.
01:25Borough fell behind in the game, but came back to level things up.
01:29Yeah, it's a frustrating day. We really wanted to win the game, I know.
01:35Many would expect us to win the game today. It's not that easy. It's not that easy.
01:39Especially when you start the way we did. That's probably what I'm frustrated with.
01:46That's on me. I own that today. Made some calls yesterday. Maybe got one or two bits wrong.
01:52Maybe got one or two bits wrong on that.
01:54Not the personnel that came in. Maybe it was the shape. Maybe it was my messaging.
02:00You know, it was on me because we had a bit of a lethargy about us.
02:05Didn't like how we started. Didn't like the goal we conceded.
02:09So that's frustrating. But again, that's completely on me. Not the lads.
02:14Good morning, everyone.
02:28Good morning.
02:28Good morning.
02:36Good morning.
