00:00You're here in New York for your stand-up show,
00:01Ian Sterling Live.
00:02How would you describe your stand-up to any Love Island
00:05fans who may have purchased tickets
00:07and don't know what to expect?
00:08It's like fun, observational stuff,
00:14relationships, family life, a bit of storytelling.
00:20I don't do a lot of stuff about Love Island in my stand-up,
00:22but since I've come over here, a few sort of mad things
00:25have happened, and I feel like I am aware of the fact
00:28that a majority of the people that come to see me
00:30are sort of Love Island fans.
00:31The Irish and the Scots were sort of famed
00:33for our storytelling and spinning our yarn,
00:35so there's a lot of that.
00:36When you are joking about Love Island,
00:38is it the people, the islanders,
00:41is it just the experience as a whole?
00:42I've been making jokes about them all for eight weeks,
00:44so I've had plenty of practice.
00:46They're all quite easy to make fun of because they're
00:49sort of lovely, attractive people,
00:52and I feel like they're easy to make fun of because you're
00:55sort of not, you're not punching down, so to speak.
00:58They are very much above me in the echelons
01:00of sort of like social lying and whatnot.
01:03So I think they're all fine to have a go at.
01:05Do you know what I mean?
01:06Yeah, no, for sure.
01:07They're professionally good-looking.
01:08You can slag them off a bit.
01:09Exactly, humble them.
01:11Humble, they need humble.
01:13They're probably rich now.
01:14They're rich now.
01:15They are.
01:16They're with, you know, Rihanna, Kylie.
01:18I've not met anyone.
01:21Rihanna hasn't responded to a single one of my DMs.
01:23It's ridiculous.
