00:00There's a new survey from Intuit of 1,500 adults.
00:05Are you sure it's not Rocket?
00:06Who are Gen Zers.
00:10And this saddened me a little bit when it comes to human interaction.
00:14It found that one-third of Gen Zers have recently gone on a date just for the free food.
00:25And so they suggest that money or lack thereof in this economy, Courtney, is shaping the formation of relationships now more than it ever did before.
00:45New York Post did a piece on this, and they quote a woman named Katie from Florida who says,
00:52If guys can't afford a $16 drink, don't ask a girl out.
01:02Okay.
01:03See, this is why guys need to be creative.
01:05This is silly.
01:07Hold on.
01:09Why does it have to be the guy who is paying the $16 for the drink on the date?
01:14Well, if they asked you out.
01:16Huh?
01:16If they asked you out.
01:19Are women not successful in this country?
01:22No, they are.
01:22They're not as successful as men at times.
01:24And if I asked a man out, then I would pay for the drinks.
01:28But I got asked out.
01:29Okay, so I was getting asked out.
01:31But the poor guy is going on the date and paying for it and thinking that there might be romantic interest.
01:38She is there to get free appetizers and a martini.
01:43This is, as Wiggy would say, cap.
01:45This has been going on since the dawn of time.
01:49Go watch old episodes of Sex and the City.
01:51Carrie Bradshaw used to go out because she couldn't afford to get a meal, and she would go out with somebody for a free meal.
01:56Well, that's essentially fraudulence on the part of women who are doing that.
02:01That doesn't seem right to me.
02:02You've got to switch up your game.
02:04Do like my man Young Goldie says, right?
02:06Young Goldie says he only gives his number out.
02:11He don't take her number.
02:13Because if he gives her his number out, he knows if she really wants to get out, she's going to hit him up.
02:19So when he does go out with her, he knows, like, okay, if I'm buying her food and everything, there's probably a good chance at the end of the night I'm going to close the deal because she's coming after me.
02:30Well, you also shouldn't be, if you're taking a woman out on a date, that you think that you're going to get lucky at the end of it just because you paid for the meal.
02:38Oh, but I mean, it's a business transaction.
02:41Greg would settle for just dessert.
02:43But have you seen what, like, have you seen?
02:44Actually, I consider getting the dessert to be getting lucky, Curtis.
02:48Amen.
02:48If I may say that.
02:49Also, when we're talking about a $16 drink, it's like, then don't take her to that restaurant.
02:53Shime's right.
02:54You've got to be creative.
02:55Like, invite her to a picnic.
02:57If you are somebody who wants to.
