00:00Amazon plans AR glasses for you. Amazon may soon add AR glasses maker to its
00:06resume alongside cloud giant and grocery store owner. Amazon is developing
00:11augmented reality glasses codenamed Jayhawk, featuring a full-color display,
00:15microphones, speakers, and a potential camera. If that sounds familiar, it's
00:20because every tech giant is suddenly in the AR glasses race. Meta's hypernova
00:25specs appearing at Kinect resemble enhanced Ray-Bans with a right lens
00:30display for apps and alerts. Meta is also developing Orion while Google, Samsung,
00:35and Snap experiment with headgear. Basically, your face is the new smartphone
00:39real estate and everyone wants in. For Amazon, this isn't its first rodeo with
00:44echo frames entering its third generation in 2023. Comparatively, Amazon's echo frames
00:50feel like Bluetooth headsets glued to glasses. Jayhawk is supposed to change
00:54that narrative, with a consumer launch possibly landing in late 2026 or early 2027.
01:00But before you start imagining Alexa floating in your field of vision while
01:03you shop on Prime Day, Amazon has a more practical rollout in mind.
01:08The company plans to build 100,000 units of delivery driver glasses codenamed Amelia.
01:13This workhorse features bulkier frames, a utilitarian display, and navigation tools to
01:18ensure accurate delivery with turn-by-turn navigation on a small screen.
01:22So, while MetaCourt's early adopters with sleek specs for selfies and notifications,
01:28Amazon's first real audience might be the folks in blue vans dropping boxes at your doorstep.
01:41So, with an invisible window, I feel like I'm using the view of the
01:45hopefully.
01:45So, we don't have to think about it.
01:47It's gonna be a positive response.
01:49We're watching this recording, a mobile app that I've been using to
01:51Google.
01:51This is a great term.
01:51I'm not looking for the people on the field of vision,
01:53but I'm looking for the people on the field of vision.
01:55You're looking for the people around the field of vision,
01:57you're already doing the public.
01:59So, today, I'm looking for the people on the field.
