00:16However, some people have a bone to pick with the singer over one of her most recent viral lyrics.

00:21A UK charity organization dedicated to helping people with post-traumatic stress disorder

00:26recently came out with a statement about how offended they were that the pop star referenced the condition in one of her most viral songs

00:32off her new album, Nobody's Son.

00:35The organization accused her of spreading harmful stereotypes.

00:39In the song which details a nasty breakup, one of the most viral lines used on social media is

00:48Since it's gone viral, some have been speaking out about her use of PTSD, a painful condition that affects victims of severe trauma.

00:55PTSD UK's CEO, Jacqui Sudi, wrote that while they respect creative expression,

01:02the concern lies in the way the phrase is framed saying someone can get PTSD on the daily

01:07can sound casual and risks giving the impression that PTSD is something that happens fleetingly

01:13rather than being a serious and lasting mental health condition.

01:17The organization urged the singer to be more careful with mental health terminology

01:21and asked her to acknowledge the impact of this lyric and help correct misconceptions about PTSD.

01:27They suggested she could play a powerful role in raising understanding and compassion around trauma and mental health.
