00:00Blue Jays pull off remarkable comeback to secure ALCS title.
00:05The Toronto Blue Jays pulled off one of the wildest turnarounds in recent memory,
00:09coming from behind in the 7th inning of Game 7 of the ALCS to stun the Seattle Mariners, 4-3.
00:16And with that, for the first time in 32 years, the Blue Jays are heading to the World Series.
00:21Top of the 7th, Mariners are up 3-1. The dome's tight. Every pitch feels like it could tip the
00:26scale. Seattle makes the call. Edward Bazzardo comes in. And on his second pitch, George Springer
00:33sends it to the moon. A towering 3-run shot that flipped the entire narrative. That wasn't just
00:38a home run. That was Springer saying, hey, remember me? October is my season. That blast was his 23rd
00:47postseason homer. The third most in MLB history. The guy's a postseason wrecking ball and he just
00:53detonated the Mariners' dream. Fast forward to the 9th. It's still 4-3, and the Blue Jays hand
01:00the ball to Jeff Hoffman. No room for nerves. No margin for error. The man comes in and says,
01:06let's end this right now. Boom. Strikeout. Boom. Strikeout. And to close it, he freezes Julio Rodriguez,
01:14Seattle's golden boy, who had been crushing all series. Just like that, Hoffman punches the Jays'
01:19ticket to the fall classic. Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the ALCS MVP, dominated with a 3-8-5 average,
01:288-4-6 slugging, and three home runs, delivering key hits when the Jays needed them most,
01:34including a rally-starting single in Game 7. Meanwhile, Seattle faltered after Raleigh's
01:40solo home run in the fifth, scoring no runs over the final four innings. The Jays went from dead last
01:46in the AL East last year to the World Series this year, the first team to do so since the 2013 Red
01:52Sox. Now they face the Dodgers, aiming to overcome the ghosts of 93 and complete their remarkable
01:58turnaround.
