00:00it's um a weird atmosphere here i would say it's um people are sort of staying calm but obviously
00:06there's an undercurrent of panic we as brits aren't really used to this kind of thing um
00:11so yeah we're all a bit nervous but the uh the hotel is doing everything they can um we as you
00:15say we're going to lock down about 7 p.m it's actually supposed to be this morning but because
00:21the storm's moving quite slowly uh they delayed it so yeah the hotel have uh they've given us
00:26lots of advice about what to do barricading the windows trying to put mattresses up against them
00:31as an emergency you know diving into the bathroom or into the shower um if uh if you know if it gets
00:38really bad and the windows blow out you know no circumstances going outside or opening the windows
00:43i mean a lot of stuff is kind of obvious but uh again for us brits here it's unprecedented and
00:49also the aftermarket course like you know what do we expect tomorrow afternoon the storm is supposed
00:55to have passed by then but you know what would be the the state of the island and and the people
00:59here so that's what we're all really worried about and of course ourselves uh i have two small kids
01:04so um yeah not an ideal holiday let's put it that way from what we've seen again like you say from the
01:09local news and the weather channel and things like that the it feels like the government aren't doing
01:14what they can i mean uh there's been a lot of evacuations i know i saw in the news they evacuated disabled
01:20and people pregnant women first and got them sort of sheltered you know more at-risk people which
01:26is obviously really important
