00:00Trump lashes out at Fox News over dismal poll results
00:04President Donald Trump lashed out at Fox News after anchor Martha McCallum pressed him on
00:09recent polling that showed voter dissatisfaction with the economy under his administration.
00:14Trump claimed an economic boom is on the way.
00:17During his appearance on the story, Trump promoted his trade policies and predicted
00:21an economic boom driven by tariffs.
00:23McCallum, however, pointed to Fox News' own polling data.
00:27According to the network, 52 percent of respondents said the economy is worse under Trump, while
00:3332 percent said it's better and 18 percent saw no change.
00:37Fox News host pressed Trump on polling data.
00:40McCallum followed up asking Trump, we see polling that does not poll well in the economy.
00:45The recent Fox polling said 52 percent say the economy is worse under this administration.
00:51You've got unemployment at the highest rate in four years.
00:54Groceries made a big jump in the last term.
00:57You're looking forward with these plans that you just talked about.
01:00When will people feel that, President Trump?
01:02Trump attacked the network's data.
01:04Rather than acknowledge unemployment or inflation, Trump attacked the network's polling and called
01:09for a new staff.
01:10When the factories start opening, right now we are building them.
01:14And Fox polling, I have to tell you, I've told you before.
01:18It's the worst polling I've ever had.
01:20During the election, they had me winning by a little bit and not by a massive amount.
01:24In Fox polling, I've told Rupert Murdoch, go get yourself a new pollster because he stinks.
01:29And this is for years now, Trump said.
01:32Trump claimed manufacturing will rebound in a year.
01:35Trump said that bringing manufacturing back, especially in the auto industry, will turn
01:40things around within a year.
01:41He doubled down on tariffs as the driver of this shift, despite criticism that tariffs
01:46often raise costs for consumers.
01:49But I will say that we have all of these things being built.
01:52Car companies are moving back, Trump said.
01:55We lost 50%, 54% of art.
01:59We were the automobile capital, and all of a sudden we got robbed by China, Japan, Germany,
02:04all of these countries.
02:05Those companies, they're all coming back now to the United States.
02:09We're building cars, companies and factories all over coming back from Mexico and Canada.
02:14We lost a lot to Mexico.
02:16We lost a lot to Canada.
02:17They're all coming back because of the tariffs.
02:19Not the tariffs, a different story, but they're coming back because of the tariffs, and you
02:23can see that kick in probably in a year or so.
