00:15He took the stage at Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Comedy Festival

00:18roughly one month after Kirk, 31,

00:21was shot in the neck on Wednesday, September 10th.

00:24It's almost perfect comedy timing that this happened now, right?

00:28Because had this comedy festival happened at any other time,

00:31I think America, as an idea,

00:33would have had more of a leg to stand on as a moral authority,

00:36Noah said before referencing Jimmy Kimmel's recent suspension from ABC last month.

00:41He said Kimmel's monologue was about MAGA's response to the shooting,

00:44adding,

00:45Noah acknowledged many argued there's nothing funny about Kirk's assassination.

00:53You can't say there's nothing funny about it.

00:55The guy was shot while defending guns,

00:58the former Daily Show host declared.

01:00Kirk was shot dead while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University,

01:05as he answered a question about transgender people and mass shootings.

01:09After his assassination, a video resurfaced of Kirk once stating,

01:13I think it's worth to have a cost of, unfortunately,

01:16some gun deaths every single year,

01:18so that we can have the Second Amendment to protect our other God-given rights.

01:22That would be like if the captain of the Titanic

01:25was giving an impassioned speech about icebergs right before it happened.

01:29Don't say there's nothing funny about the way Kirk died,

01:32Noah warned.

01:33He argued,

01:34that's literally what comedians do,

01:36and concluded,

01:38is to find a moment of solace.
