00:17During the Monday, October 20th episode of Live with Kelly and Mark,

00:21the co-hosts reacted on air to their 2025 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Daytime Talk series

00:27while flaunting their new statue.

00:30We had a lot going on. Friday was a very, very busy day.

00:34Ripa explained, noting they skipped the ceremony in Pasadena, California,

00:38and were sound asleep in their $27 million New York City townhouse.

00:43Ripa noted,

00:44We went to bed early. I was asleep by 8.45 p.m., and I think Mark was probably out by 9 p.m.

00:51At some point during their slumber, Ripa and Consuelos were woken by their dog,

00:54Lena, because she hadn't been out for her night pee.

00:57They grabbed their phones to illuminate the room and saw notifications from 70 text messages.

01:04To us, that means that something bad has happened to one of our parents.

01:08So we are, of course, terrified to click, Ripa added.

01:12Fortunately, Joaquin was simply asking his mom to send him a picture of him with long, curly hair.

01:17And then, Mark said,

01:19Hey, we won an Emmy!

01:21Kelly exclaimed.

01:22Sleeping through the Daytime Emmy Awards has proven to be good luck for the husband and wife of nearly 30 years.

01:29Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos won the 2024 Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Entertainment talk show host.

01:35We only win Emmys when we're asleep, Kelly quipped.

01:38Last year, we were sound asleep and we won an Emmy.

01:41So this is proof that we need to be put to bed on Emmy night.

01:44We need to be put to sleep if we are going to win.
