Who needs crab and shrimp when you have a whole cabbage in your fridge? In this video, Natalie shows you how to make this cabbage boil recipe, a vegetarian twist on the classic seafood boil. Flavor your cabbage with every delicious seasoning, like smoked paprika, Old Bay, Cajun seasoning, chicken bouillon, and more, and then bake until tender and again with a seasoned butter mixture.

00:00That's good. Let's make a cabbage boil. Start by taking your cabbage and coring out the middle.
00:05Slicing it about a quarter or a half way down and then we're going in with seasoning. First cover
00:08it in a little bit of oil, going with some garlic powder, some smoked paprika, some regular paprika,
00:13some Cajun seasoning, some Old Bay, some black pepper, salt, and some lemon juice and a little
00:17chicken bouillon. Now make sure to give it a little rub down, making sure to get all that seasoning
00:22into the cabbage. Go ahead and wrap it tightly in foil. I forgot one ingredient, the most important
00:26ingredient. Three tablespoons of cold butter right in the middle. Now we're baking this at 385 for
00:30one hour. Go ahead and melt two sticks of butter down. We're adding some more lemon, more Cajun seasoning,
00:35Old Bay, smoked paprika, regular paprika, garlic powder, chicken bouillon, and some ground pepper.
00:40Okay it's been about an hour. Oh yeah. Now we're taking the butter mixture and we are pouring it
00:44right on top. Now close it back up. This goes back into the oven for an additional hour.
00:49And that's what she should look like. Save your juice, pour it right on top.
00:53Buttery, saucy goodness. Stuffing it with a little bit of rice.
