00:25disparaging and inflammatory, and says the president's wife may have suffered, quote,

00:30overwhelming financial and reputational harm. But almost a week after that deadline,

00:35in an interview with YouTube personality Andrew Callahan, Hunter Biden issued this response.

00:41So now we're here maybe to give you the platform to apologize to the first lady

00:46for your statements that you made about her possible connection to Jeffrey Epstein.

00:51Melania. That's not going to happen.

00:56Instead, he doubled down on his remarks, contending that Melania Trump does not have a case against

01:01him. If they want to sit down for a deposition and clarify the nature of the relationship between

01:06Jeffrey Epstein, if the president and the first lady want to do that and all of the known associates

01:11around them at the time of whatever time that they met, I'm more than happy to provide them

01:16the platform to be able to do it. Biden's response stems from a YouTube video earlier

01:21this month titled Hunter Biden Returns. In that interview, he made these claims.
