00:00President Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House today.
00:06Well, thank you very much. It's an honor to have the president of Ukraine with us.
00:12We've had a lot of good discussions, a lot of good talks.
00:15Trump offered little details on his plan to end the war, which he previously said
00:20he would do within 24 hours of taking office. Seven months later, he says a ceasefire is not
00:27the goal now. And there have been no ceasefires in other peace deals.
00:32I didn't do any ceasefires. Would I like? I like the concept. You know, I like the concept of a
00:39ceasefire for one reason, because you'd stop killing people immediately, as opposed to in two
00:43weeks or one week or whatever it takes. But we can work a deal where we're working on a peace deal
00:48while they're fighting. They have to fight. Both Trump and Zelensky also expressed openness
00:53to a trilateral meeting with Vladimir Putin. If everything works out well today,
00:57we'll have a trilateral, and I think there will be a reasonable chance of ending the war when we do
01:02that. Today's meeting was friendly, in contrast to their meeting earlier this year. During that
01:07first meeting, President Zelensky took heat from President Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance,
01:13and a reporter for not wearing a suit. This time, Zelensky wore a suit, and that same reporter took notice.
01:20You look fabulous in that suit. Yeah, look, you look good. I said the same thing. Yeah,
01:26I said the one that attacked you last time. I remember that. I apologize to you. You look
01:31wonderful. No, my first question for you, President Zelensky. In the same suit.
01:38You see, I changed you. Following this meeting, Trump and Zelensky met with European leaders,
01:44including the heads of the UK, France, and Italy. European leaders have a vested interest in the
01:50outcome of the war between Russia and Ukraine, as many of them still don't think Putin will stop
01:56with Ukraine. For more unbiased, fact-driven news, download the Straighter Road News app today,
