00:00Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed a man accused of throwing a subway sandwich at a
00:05federal law enforcement officer in Washington, D.C. Sunday night was an employee of the U.S.
00:10Justice Department. If you touch any law enforcement officer, we will come after you.
00:17I just learned that this defendant worked at the Department of Justice no longer. Not only is he
00:22fired, he's been charged with a felony, Bondi posted on X. D.C. U.S. Attorney General Janine
00:28Pirro announced Wednesday that Sean Charles Dunn is charged with assaulting a federal officer.
00:34When an individual went up to one of the federal law enforcement officers and started jumping up and
00:40down, screaming at him, berating him, yelling at him, and then he took a subway sandwich about this big
00:47and took it and threw it at the officer. He thought it was funny. Well, he doesn't think it's funny
00:53today because we charged him with a felony, assault on a police officer. The alleged assault happened
00:58Sunday night and was captured on video, which has since gone viral online. Dunn began beefing with
01:04federal officers, yelling at them inches from their faces, calling them fascists, asking them,
01:09why are you here? I don't want you in my city. Dunn then threw his deli sandwich at them,
01:14according to a criminal complaint filed August 13th. The sandwich allegedly hit a U.S. Customs
01:19and Border Protection agent who was wearing a bulletproof vest in the chest. Dunn then tried
01:24running away but was quickly apprehended by law enforcement. While being processed, Dunn allegedly
01:29told Metro police officers, quote, I did it. I threw a sandwich, according to court documents.
01:35An attorney for Dunn has not released a comment. For Straight Arrow News, I'm Lauren Keenan.
