00:00All right, so we're standing where yesterday at this time there was a statue of President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands,
00:07but it was removed by the park police early this morning.
00:10And now the only thing that's left is the outline in the sand.
00:16The statue of Trump and Epstein holding hands included a plaque that said,
00:20In honor of Friendship Month, we celebrate the long-standing bond between President Donald J. Trump and his closest friend Jeffrey Epstein.
00:27The plaque is a reference to Jeffrey Epstein stating he was Trump's, quote, closest friend.
00:33What do you think about the fact that they've removed this?
00:35Honestly, it's quite concerning to me as a Navy veteran.
00:40As somebody that served this country for 17 years to ensure the freedom of speech for our fellow countrymen,
00:47it is beyond reprehensible to me.
00:50Do you think that a statue of Trump and Epstein holding hands really adds to the conversation at all?
00:55For me, it's not about whether or not it adds to the conversation.
00:59It's freedom of speech.
01:01You know, it brings more light to an already growing divide in this country.
01:08There's a lot of people who came down here today hoping to see it, but it's gone and they're all disappointed.
01:13And so now instead of looking at the statue, they're telling us how disappointed they are and how much they wish that it was still here.
01:20They had a permit.
01:21It was taken down for political reasons.
01:23Because the arts should be free to express themselves.
01:26What do you think the removal of this statue says about dissent?
01:31The removal of this statue, from my perspective, shows a very childish person's behavior.
01:37If he's going to remove anything, he can remove that.
01:40That's equally as offensive to many people.
01:43Why is a picture of Trump hanging on the Department of Labor offensive?
01:47Because he doesn't help labor at all.
01:49It's so contrary to his agenda.
01:50How has he helped labor?
01:55He only helps himself.
01:57President Trump has called the Epstein files a hoax, but Democrats and a handful of Republicans in the House of Representatives may soon have enough signatures on a petition that would force a vote on releasing the Epstein files.
02:09President Trump wants this subject to go away, but the legislative branch isn't dropping it.
