00:00Friday night into Saturday morning, protesters demonstrated outside of the Portland Immigration
00:07Detention Facility. Unlike many of the protests, a large group showed up to support the decision
00:13to send federal troops to crack down on protesting.
00:18On Friday, U.S. District Court Judge Karen Immergut heard arguments over whether to issue
00:23a temporary restraining order to block the deployment. That decision is expected this
00:27weekend. Also on Friday, President Trump asked government officials to review federal aid that
00:32can be cut from Portland. President Trump will end the radical left's reign of terror in Portland once
00:37and for all. The president has directed Secretary Hegseth to provide all necessary troops to protect
00:43war-ravaged Portland and any ICE facilities under siege from attack by Antifa and other left-wing
00:49domestic terrorists. That announcement came after Thursday's arrest of conservative influencer Nick
00:54Sorter. As a result, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem says the agency will also send
00:59additional agents. The Justice Department says they will be looking into whether Portland police
01:04engaged in discrimination. Portland's police chief urges the public for peace.
01:08I want to be clear, and we have been clear since the beginning of the year, that we will not tolerate
01:12violence or vandalism. We've made over two dozen arrests down there in the last several months. We have
01:18invested hundreds of man hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars in an attempt to provide
01:24a safe environment for all members of South Waterfront. Last weekend, President Trump announced
01:29a call-up of Oregon National Guard members to protect the ICE facility. The move follows crackdowns
01:34in other cities like Washington, D.C., Chicago, and Memphis. For Straight Arrow News, I'm Jack Henry.
