00:00Boy, it's hot as hell in the city, but who told the Mets that they could get cold and start playing their worst baseball of the season?
00:07They dropped 10 out of their last 11. Come on now.
00:09This is a little brother behavior, and this lineup that Francisco Alvarez once called the best in baseball, they're getting exposed.
00:17This is when you're supposed to be the hottest thing in the city outside of this temperature.
00:22The Yankees are going on a slump of their own. There's no real Knicks news going on.
00:26Who knows when they're going to hire a head coach, and the Jets and Giants don't start up again for another couple of weeks.
00:32This is when you're supposed to go on that run and ham it up with the bat flips and the handshakes and shuffles and the songs.
00:41But to go on a run or to sustain a run, your role players and the depth pieces have to have star moments,
00:47and that's just something we haven't seen throughout the course of this slump.
00:50No panic, still a lot of baseball left, but I'm worried this team is too star-driven and too top-heavy in the lineup,
00:57and that needs to be addressed.
00:591-4, oh, they're one of the best in baseball.
01:015-9, it's the complete opposite. They're one of the worst.
01:05And this bullpen is looking extra thin.
01:07If David Stearns doesn't add depth at or by the trade deadline, just like he did last year,
01:13I don't think this team gets out of the NLDS.
01:15Thank you, guys.
