00:00The Mets are 54-42, and a half a game behind the Phillies for first place in the division.
00:05Walk-offs, shutouts, grand slams, we've seen it all from this team over the first half of the season.
00:11But here are our top five Mets Magic moments so far.
00:15April 18th, they're tied 4-4 against the Cardinals, and Francisco Lindor seizes the moment.
00:21He hits a solo shot to the upper deck at Citi Field and walks off in style.
00:27That was his 250th home run of his Major League career, but most importantly, his first walk-off home run as a Met.
00:35Oh yeah, they won that game 5-4.
00:37April 23rd, 3-3 tied in the bottom of the 10th against the Phillies.
00:42Starling Marte hits a blooper to center field.
00:45Pete Alonzo looked like a real-life polar bear chasing a seal the way he ran around the bases to score the game-winning run.
00:52Mets went on a walk-off hit for Marte and got their seventh win in a row.
00:57April 28th, Finding Nemo finds the history books.
01:01Brandon Nemo goes 4-6 with two home runs and nine RBIs to tie Carlos Delgado for the franchise record for most RBIs in a single game.
01:12He also became the third player in MLB history since RBIs became official in 1920 to register nine-plus RBIs in a three-inning span.
01:22May 1st, with the Mets down 2-0.
01:26Juan Soto put New York on the board with a solo shot over the left field wall.
01:31It took 56 at-bats, but that was Soto's first home run at Citi Field since signing that historic deal.
01:38Two innings later, he hit another one.
01:40I'm still mad this man was snubbed out of an all-star game appearance.
01:44Last but not least, June 11th, David Peterson put on a pitching masterclass for his first career shutout.
01:53Not only did he retire the first seven batters he faced, he didn't allow a runner past first base until the seventh inning.
01:59He actually went the full nine innings and ended the night with six strikeouts, six hits, and no walks in 107 pitches.
02:08It was the Mets' first shutout by a left-handed pitcher since Steven Mets did it to the Nationals back in 2019.
02:15We could only pick five, y'all, so I apologize if we left out your top moment.
02:21But they're back in action on Friday in their new series against the Reds.
02:24Lots of baseball left here, folks, which means there's going to be more Mets Magic moments to look forward to.
