00:00All right, Mets fans, got some good news coming down on Wednesday.

00:04The Mets are turning to one of their top prospects to try to produce in the starting rotation.

00:08That is going to be Nolan McClain.

00:10He will make his Mets debut as a starter on Saturday against the Mariners.

00:15And look, this is a move that had to happen.

00:17The Mets had to do something about the rotation.

00:19They weren't getting enough length.

00:21Frankie Montas is now going to the bullpen.

00:23A lot of Mets fans didn't want to see him anymore.

00:25And I think this is the right moves by David Stearns and company.

00:28They had to get Montas out of there in the starting rotation.

00:31He had not been good in his eight starts.

00:33It had been a disaster.

00:35And look, with Nolan McClain, he is one of the highly touted prospects in the Mets organization.

00:40Number four prospect in the organization.

00:42One of their best pitchers.

00:43He's got an amazing sweeper.

00:46Elite sweeper is what all the scouts say.

00:48Fastball in the mid-90s.

00:50Has an arsenal of pitches.

00:52And look, this Mets rotation needs some life.

00:55Some youth injected into it.

00:56And I'm not saying that all this pressure should be on Nolan McClain.

01:00But the hope is for Mets fans.

01:01And it is nice to have some hope after you saw the team lose seven games in a row.

01:05And end their losing streak on Tuesday night.

01:08But the hope is that, not that he can be a savior for the rest of the season.

01:12But just to inject some life.

01:14Give you some length.

01:15Possibly give you six innings.

01:17That's all we're asking for.

01:18Can you get six innings out of Nolan McClain?

01:21That's something Mets starters haven't been able to do.

01:23So look, I think it was the right move.

01:24It was the time to bring up one of the kids.

01:27It was going to be either Sprout or McClain.

01:29But now McClain will have a shot to shine and help this rotation as I think he can on Saturday.

01:35We'll see how it goes.

01:36Maybe it'll be a little bit shaky.

01:38But look, at this point, it's got to be better than what Frankie Montas was giving you.

01:42You weren't going to do.

01:43He eventually goes to the bullpen.

01:44But right now, this is a good day for the Mets as they bring up Nolan McClain.

01:48And we'll see what he can do on Saturday against the Mariners.
