00:00The Tampa Bay Bucks cut ties with the NFL's heaviest player because Desmond Watson couldn't
00:05cut weight. I respect the Bucks organization for being patient with the kid and giving him months
00:10to lose the weight, but now I'm questioning this kid's commitment to play pro football and live
00:16out his dream because, bro, they paid you to lose weight so you can hit the field and really show
00:22what you got. How do you not take advantage of that? Now, I don't know this kid personally,
00:27and I haven't heard any inside conversations or information on the issue. All I can do is give
00:33my opinion off the reports, and what's being reported is that he weighed in at 464 pounds
00:38at Florida's Pro Day around one month before the draft. He wasn't selected in the draft, but the
00:44Bucks ended up signing him as an undrafted free agent, reportedly inking a three-year contract
00:50with $50,000 guaranteed and a $20,000 signing bonus. Now, he did drop some weight to get down
00:57to 449 pounds, but the team still didn't feel comfortable enough with this conditioning to
01:02let him practice, and they placed him on the non-football illness list at the start of training
01:07camp. Now, we all saw the viral pics and videos of him standing off to the side while the rest
01:12of the team practiced, and that means he must have not hit those milestones in the weight loss
01:17journey because not only did he not practice, he didn't even suit up for any of their three
01:22preseason games. Now, he has said in the past that losing weight has always been a challenge
01:28for him. I don't know, man. I've seen too many hashtag Transformation Tuesdays on social media
01:33for free to justify someone not losing weight for their dream job for a guaranteed $50,000
01:41and a shot at making an NFL roster. Now, according to Fox Sports, the Bucks don't plan on signing him
01:47to the practice squad, and if he clears waivers, he'll be a free agent, but this kid was so much
01:53fun to watch in college at Florida, so you hope he can safely use that weight, and he can live
01:59his NFL dream.
