00:00Hi, I'm Delaney Walters and I'm shooting for the WNBA.
00:05I first started playing, I was probably like three.
00:10I started dribbling the basketball.
00:13My dad had me dribbling outside doing drills in our front driveway.
00:18But I started, I got on my first AU team around first grade, I want to say.
00:23I realized that I could really do this and that it doesn't matter the age that I'm at.
00:30It just matters how skilled I am and the work that I put in.
00:34My goal is to obviously win, try to get that state championship and to make a name of myself
00:41and to be seen by other colleges or schools that are interested in me and just be the
00:48best I could possibly be on the court.
00:50When did you realize you had a skill behind the arc?
00:53Definitely my seventh grade year, I was shooting long range threes that I would just shoot
01:00it and it would go in and I was like, wow, I guess I could really do this and I just started
01:05shooting from outside, like very far out.
01:07What does all this mean to you?
01:09It's very exciting.
01:10Very exciting to see where it just takes me in the future.
01:14Very exciting.
01:15Do you want to play pro one day, is that your ultimate goal?
01:18Absolutely.
01:23We'll see you next time.
