00:00Open mic night.

00:02Balanced Knicks put on show and forth to turn back Cavs and smash debut by Brown.

00:07That was fun to watch last night.

00:09I think this is what we've all been waiting for when it comes to Knicks basketball.

00:13That brand of basketball.

00:15The late philosopher and poet Tupac once said,

00:19ain't no fun if the homies can't have none.

00:21And he meant minutes and buckets.

00:23And that's what we saw last night.

00:2511 players got rotation minutes.

00:27Nine of those dudes got buckets.

00:29And five of those dudes were in double figures.

00:31And this was all without Mitch Robb and Josh Hart.

00:34It was like watching the Avengers where all the superheroes are in the one movie

00:40instead of their own individual movies trying to keep the galaxy or New York City safe by themselves.

00:46In fact, there was a point of the game where I didn't see Jalen Brunson on the court for a while.

00:52And I thought, you know, maybe he's hurt or something.

00:55No, it was Tyler Kolick running the show and getting minutes.

01:00Here's the part that I love watching the most.

01:03And I feel like the fan base you guys should appreciate the most.

01:06They gave up a double digit lead and they were even down throughout parts of the fourth.

01:11But they did what potential championship like teams do.

01:15They did what teams with a coach with a plan do.

01:19They kept their composure.

01:21They stepped up their offense, ran their plays and hit shots.

01:24They stepped up the defense and got stops.

01:27And most importantly, they closed that game out.

01:29Now, is that sustainable for another 81 plus games?

01:33I don't know.

01:34Maybe.

01:34We'll see.

01:35But it felt good to watch them on opening night.
