00:00You know, as far as what we are hearing, the National Guard, first of all, it's illegal, unconstitutional, it's dangerous, it's wrong.

00:11This is not about deportation. This is not about safety for this president.

00:16This is about authoritarianism. It's about stoking fear.

00:20It's about breaking the Constitution that would give him that much more control over our American cities.

00:28We have not heard directly, of course, from the president or his administration.

00:35And, you know, my expectation is that regardless of what this administration is doing,

00:42I'm going to remain firm and committed in protecting the rights and the civility of our nation.

00:48And we'll start right here in Chicago.
