അയ്യപ്പന്റെ പൊന്നുരുക്കി ജീവിച്ച ആളുകളോട് വിശ്വാസിയും അവിശ്വാസിയും പൊറുക്കില്ലഎന്നും ഷാഫി ആരോപിച്ചു.
MP Shafi Parambil alleged that the police assault against him in Perambra, Kozhikode, was a political conspiracy intended to divert attention from the Sabarimala gold scam controversy. Shafi also alleged that while devotees see 'Ponnayyappan' (Lord Ayyappa's gold form), the government and the Devaswom Board only see the gold in it, and that both believers and non-believers will not forgive those who 'melted Ayyappa's gold' for their own gains."
