00:00Get out of my shot!
00:02A newly resurfaced video has emerged of California Democratic gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter losing it.
00:09This time by ruthlessly yelling at a staffer who was seen walking into her shot on a video call.
00:15To air pollution and other problems, and the state could lose...
00:19Get out of my shot!
00:22I wanted to tell you that that's actually...
00:24You also were in my shot before that.
00:27Stay out of my shot.
00:29Okay, I'm going to start again with electric vehicles saving us money.
00:33The shocking clip, first obtained by Politico, shows the former congresswoman seamlessly switching from a professional tone
00:40during her discussion with then-Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm
00:44to angry and abusive treatment of a staffer who innocently popped into the frame.
00:49This new, nasty behavior comes just a day after a shocking exchange between Porter and a reporter from CBS News Sacramento went viral.
00:58What do you say to the 40% of California voters who you'll need in order to win who voted for Trump?
01:06How would I need them in order to win, ma'am?
01:08Well, unless you think you're going to get 60% of the vote.
01:12I feel like this is unnecessarily argumentative. What is your question?
01:16Well, to those voters. Okay, so you...
01:18I don't want to keep doing this. I'm going to call it. Thank you.
01:22You're not going to do the interview with us?
01:24Nope, not like this. I'm not. Not with seven follow-ups to every single question you ask.
01:28The bizarre encounter, which aired online earlier this week, captured Porter flipping out when reporter Julie Watts asked how she planned to win Republican votes as she tries to replace Governor Gavin Newsom in 2026.
01:42Following a brief back and forth where a testy Porter insisted she could build support and would seek every vote possible, the Democrats suddenly cracked.
01:50Porter seethed at what she described as argumentative follow-up questions before trying to cut it off.
01:56I don't want this all on camera, she later added.
01:59After the footage started spreading on social media, Porter's campaign said the interview, which was recorded last month, continued for an additional 20 minutes.
02:08It wasn't immediately clear if or when it was set to air in full.
02:12Porter, who launched her gubernatorial campaign in March, has previously been hit with claims she bullied staffers.
02:19Her ex-husband Matthew Hoffman also alleged in their divorce proceedings that she frequently abused him verbally and threw toys, books, and other objects at him during their marriage, alleging she even once poured scalding hot mashed potatoes on his head during a fight.
02:35Prior to her epic implosion at CBS, Porter had been the clear frontrunner in the California governor's race, with a seven-point lead over her rivals, according to the latest RealClearPolitics aggregate.
02:47Her Democratic primary foes quickly pounced on the meltdown.
02:50This is a pattern for Katie Porter.
02:52No candidate for governor should hide from the press or mistreat them.
02:56We owe it to the public to be transparent.
02:58State Superintendent Tony Thurman jabbed.
03:01If she can't answer basic questions from a reporter, how can Californians expect her to stand up to President Trump?
03:07Incumbent Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom is term-limited, and with former Vice President Kamala Harris having passed on a gubernatorial run,
03:15the field for the 2026 race has been left wide open.
03:19wide open.
