00:00Hi!
00:02Hi!
00:03So nice to meet you.
00:05So nice to meet you.
00:06I love your character.
00:07Oh, thank you.
00:08She's pretty bold.
00:10Yeah.
00:11And she's finally found love in season two.
00:13I watched all ten episodes.
00:15Oh, wow. Okay.
00:16I'm not going to give away how that love goes.
00:18Yeah.
00:19But what I will say is I wasn't sure how Kristen's character, Joanne, your sister,
00:25if she was being a mean girl or she was really caring and worried about you
00:30because this happened pretty quickly and I don't think they are fans of the guy you're with.
00:37Yeah.
00:38And how does that feel?
00:42You know, I relate to Joanne because I've had friends where I'm like,
00:47man, I don't think this is the move.
00:49I think that they're making the wrong decision and I'm worried about their well-being.
00:52Would you tell them, though, like Joanne did?
00:54That's something that I have to negotiate.
00:56And I think that because they're sisters, there's a lack of boundaries
00:59and there's kind of like these pre-existing, unconditional, like, just levels of communication
01:05that are like very, very blunt and probably not the most mindful in the way that I would be with a friend.
01:10But I definitely know the feeling of trying to negotiate, like, how do I do this?
01:16And I think if it was my sister and there was like that level of familiarity, I would try to be more tender about it.
01:23Yeah, because she's not very tender about it.
01:25No, no.
01:26She's like, what the F is going on?
01:28But I do think I'd be like, honey, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
01:32You know?
01:33Especially if I felt like something was really off.
01:35Right.
01:36But you go into a protective mode, I'm sure.
01:38Yeah, totally.
01:39For your friend or your family.
01:40What do you love and hate about Morgan?
01:43God, it's really hard to say I hate anything about her because I do think that like the job is to kind of like understand your character and have empathy for your character.
01:54I love that Morgan is, I love that she's unbridled.
02:00I love that she's far out.
02:01I love that she's like a really honest communicator.
02:04I feel like she's like very reactive and I'm like, it's a lot of fun to watch.
02:09I love that she's passionate about what, you know, she's really like heartfelt.
02:14I think she cares about her sister a lot.
02:16I have a hard time with the way that she talks to her parents.
02:19Sometimes I'm like, rude, you're rude.
02:22And I think she could do some like work on her self-esteem and I think she could do a little bit of work on the same thing that we talked about earlier.
02:32Just how to kind of more tactfully handle the way that she receives the world.
02:38Did you have somebody in your life that you researched to get this character?
02:44Well, I mean, the obvious one is Sarah Foster, Aaron Foster's sister.
02:49She was kind of like the first.
02:50Well, because this is Aaron's creation based loosely on her life.
02:53Yes, it's a semi-autobiographical.
02:55Right.
02:56And that dynamic that they have, I wouldn't say it's like an exact representation of what their actual relationship is.
03:03But there's definitely like the essence of it is there.
03:06So I really dove into like Sarah, like the way she talks and like the way that she moves her hands and like, you know.
03:14Both of those girls have a tone when they talk.
03:16Yeah, they do.
03:17Yeah, totally.
03:18I mean, Sarah more, even more so than Aaron.
03:20I think Aaron is a little bit more like neutral.
03:23But Sarah's like very, like she is a personality and she was kind of my North Star.
03:27Like Morgan's definitely a different person than Sarah.
03:30But I would draw, I would draw from the well of public speaking that Sarah has done.
03:37And I would listen to their podcast actually quite frequently as just like a touchstone to kind of get back in the space.
03:44And they also banter really open with each other, openly with each other on their podcast.
03:49So it's like a fun thing to kind of just like.
03:50Kind of like you and your character do on the podcast and the show.
03:54Yeah, yeah.
03:55So you are a prankster in real life.
03:57I know that you've pulled pranks on Kristen on the set.
04:01Yeah.
04:02Would you like Morgan to get into pranking?
04:04I mean, listen, I think that pranks are really fun.
04:07I do too.
04:08I mean, I just love them.
04:09I'm actually like in my day to day, this was the first like long game prank that I've ever done.
04:13Like I am not the most prankstery person, but I know she loves pranks.
04:18And I so appreciate a good prank.
04:20And I love hearing about good pranks.
04:22And I'm friends with a lot of pranksters.
04:24So listen, I'm a lover of pranks.
04:26I say yes, bring them on, put them in, put them in the show.
04:29And last question.
04:31What do you want to see happen for Morgan?
04:34I am so excited for any route that I take.
04:37Like this is the thing about Morgan is she's such a character.
04:41It's like there's so, it's so rich.
04:43You know, there's so much potential for different roads and the writers are so good.
04:47And I kind of.
04:48Oh my God, the writing's spectacular.
04:49They're so good.
04:50And I would have never dreamt that this storyline that we ended up with for season two.
04:55It's a great one.
04:56Yeah.
04:57It's so wild that I'm like kind of like throw anything at me.
05:00I'm so excited to see what they come up with.
05:02And I have really no specific dream for Morgan because I know whatever it is is going to be fun.
05:07It will be.
05:08It's a great character and it's fun to play.
05:10Thank you so much.
05:11And it's fun to watch you.
05:12Bye.
05:13Bye.
05:14Bye.
05:15Bye.
