00:00Il Politician è una serie serie di emozionati, talenti e so acculturati,
00:07quindi è un po' di solito.
00:09Do you think it can help young people to think more about politics?
00:15Or maybe Trump situation?
00:18Yeah, I do.
00:20I think that it's really amazing to see young people that are so empowered
00:23and people who are really craving a change
00:28and they're doing everything that they can to create change
00:31and so I really hope that it inspires young people watching it to want to do the same.
00:35There is a strong message behind The Politician.
00:39It's a loneliness, a suicide and everything.
00:44What do you care most of the message behind the series?
00:50I think because we're living in a day and age with social media
00:55that it's really easy to feel lonely
00:58and I think that any show that talks about these issues is important
01:05because it makes people realize that they're not alone
01:07and yeah, you see yourself represented on something
01:13and then that instantly makes you feel better.
01:15So I think obviously understanding when you need help is important
01:19but just having different stories out there that are making you question
01:24what is authenticity, what is my role in the world
01:28and what relationships are important to me, what is important to me.
01:32So these are all questions that I think young people should always be asking themselves
01:35and yeah, this is a kind of show that makes people ask themselves that question.
01:40Laura, with Ben, you already played in Dear Evan Hansen.
01:44How was to find him again?
01:46It was the best.
01:48I think I'd never expected it to happen
01:50so it was really exciting to be able to walk on set
01:54and see someone that I know and love
01:56and to be able to work with them again.
01:58It's the best.
02:01So you both guys belong to a family of artists.
02:04Ben, you went to Columbia for a while.
02:06About seven weeks.
02:07Really?
02:08Well, you went to Columbia, but you have a lot in common
02:11and you have something in common with your characters in a set way.
02:16So what do you think about them?
02:17I think Peyton is really wonderfully, deliciously complicated
02:21and he is easy to root for and to love and easy to hate and to love to hate.
02:26And I think he's...
02:28I have the same kind of drive and ambition as he does
02:30because I've always been focused on the same goal since I was very young
02:33and I always knew that's what I wanted to do, the way that he knows he wants to be president.
02:36But he, I think, is a lot better than me at sacrificing emotions and relationships to move towards his goal.
02:44I can't really ignore my emotions.
02:46But it's good.
02:48Yeah.
02:49I think it's good.
02:50Yeah, I agree with you.
02:51I really, really like...
02:53I love her comfortable choice of wardrobe.
02:56The pajamas she ascends.
02:58I love a lot about her and I empathize with her
03:03and I think she's actually very smart
03:06and has been really, really, really isolated and kept alone
03:10and restrained in a way that's, I can only imagine, very painful.
03:14I feel bad for her.
03:16And if you don't think they can actually hold she'll give the food.
03:20Yep.
03:21And Her
03:27M
03:29I
03:29And Her
03:30And Her
