South-East swelters through unseasonally high temperatures

A heatwave that's sizzled Queensland this week has made its presence felt in the south-east as the region sweltered through unseasonal searing temperatures. The weather bureau's warning for some areas, the worst is yet to come with more October records set to tumble.

00:29It's not even summer yet, so we're already getting into the hot weather.

01:34Out west and in the outback, it's already been an October for the history books.

01:40Still some records that are potentially under threat over the next few days.
