00:00The current political context in France is, you know, there's turmoil, isn't there?
00:05And we've got a president who seems to be unable to form a stable government during his second term.
00:12And then we have a situation where a former president, only two presidents before him, is now in prison.
00:17I mean, do you think all of this undermines the office of president in France?
00:22Yeah, definitively. I mean, there is a real strong and deep perception in France that the politicians cannot solve the situation
00:32and they don't act for the sake of the citizens, but for their own interests.
00:39So that is something very strong and deeply anchored in the citizen perception of the role of politicians nowadays inside the republic system.
00:54So, well, it's very tricky because that paves the way for opening a more, let's say, acceptance of the radical wings in France
01:06that could be left or right, but there is a need of order, in a way, of values and stability
01:18that cannot provide nowadays this, the Macron system.
01:23And so it's possible that the citizen will, part of the citizen will try to favor a very strong and radical man or woman
01:37in order to feel reassures that, well, we have values to defend and we are able to go through all the crises
01:50we have got those last months. And so, yes, it's a very, it's a great challenge now in France
01:58how to make cohesion within the political circles and as well the acceptance from the citizen, the society in the whole.
