00:00and it does feel like an injury backs against the wall puts these guys in a better position
00:07I think about last year with Freddie Freeman going into the World Series right a bum ankle
00:11now what does he do he would World Series MVP George Springer hits or gets hit by a Brian Wu
00:1796 mile an hour sinker on the knee and he's wearing it in game six you can tell he's just
00:23not feeling well and in game seven I didn't even think he looked fully healthy but he just found
00:29something extra and hit one of the biggest home runs in the history of the Toronto Blue Jays
00:34franchise another cool stat from our Twitter team players to hit a go-ahead home run in game seven
00:40while trailing by two or more runs Yogi Berra in the 1960 World Series game seven and George Springer
00:492025 ALCS game seven just two Blue Jays they have Joe Carter they have this whatever they actually
00:57get to the World Series it's the most dramatic way possible arm yeah and the coolest part I mean
01:03I'm sure Blue Jays fans are hoping they can win it the same way too I what's what I'm fascinated by
01:08is the fact that he is George Springer maybe one of the best World Series specifically World Series
01:14performers we've ever seen him I am I looking at this right on baseball reference seven homers and
01:2014 games in the World Series I think so feels right that how is that possible it's it sounds crazy and
01:28it sounds wrong but it also sounds right when you consider what George Springer has been doing in the
01:35postseason his entire career well and he won World Series MVP in 2017 where he hit five homers in that
01:41World Series but 2019 was his best regular season right like by a statistical output marginally better than
01:48this regular season which this was his second best regular season I would argue if you combine
01:53postseason regular season you could argue that at 35 years old because he didn't have a great
01:56postseason ironically George Springer in 2019 this has been the best baseball season of George Springer's
02:03career at 35 years old where I admittedly the last two years thought he was cooked right like I just I
02:08just didn't think there was anything left why would it suddenly come back at 35 when he's looking like
02:14he's tapering off at 33 34 this is one of the crazier I just think turnarounds that we've seen
02:19just amazing again 4-3 the win of the American League Championship Series for the Toronto Blue Jays in game
