00:00We can push to the American League side, Peyton.
00:02That might be one of the lines on the history of the chess baseball stuff.
00:05That was great.
00:06The American League ballot, as it stands right now,
00:10whole bunch of Canada, as Aram Layton was saying.
00:15But, just to serve, Shea Langeleer is running away with the AL catcher job right now.
00:20It's an absolute boat race.
00:23He's got over 700,000 votes.
00:25Kirk, right behind it, just under 300,000 votes.
00:28So, doubling up Alejandro Kirk, effectively.
00:32Ernie Clement, the top boat getter among AL second baseman.
00:35Ezekiel Durrana, the Rangers, number two.
00:37Bazzana, three.
00:38Shout out, Travis Bazzana.
00:39Bobby Witt, obviously top boat getter by a country mile among AL shortstops
00:43with Andres Jimenez falling behind.
00:45McGonagall behind him.
00:46Colson Montgomery behind him.
00:48And then, first baseman, Vladdy Jr., Ben Rice, Murakami, right behind that.
00:53Kurtz, right behind that.
00:54Junior Caminero, the top boat getter among AL third baseman.
00:58Miguel Vargas is third.
00:59Notably, Josh Young of the Rangers is fourth.
01:02Jordan Alvarez, the top boat getter in the American League, with George Springer
01:05right behind and Yandy Diaz behind him.
01:07And then, the six outfielders as they stand right now.
01:10Judge Trout, Bellinger, Buxton, Riley Green, J-Rod.
01:14And, behind them, you've got Randy Rosarena, Varsho, Jesus Sanchez,
01:19Miles Straw, top ten among AL boat getters.
01:21I freaking love that.
01:24Honestly, I have zero gripes with the American League outfield.
01:27I think that's perfect from the fans.
01:30I guess, like, my issue – where are your issues here?
01:35Because I've got a couple, but, like, I don't know which one is the most egregious to me.
01:38I think something was – somebody clicked a button 272,973 times for Miles Straw,
01:46and I don't believe it.
01:47That's awesome.
01:48That's my biggest gripe.
01:50Otherwise, I mean, I look at the catching spot.
01:53I think that's pretty good.
01:56I alluded to it earlier, but, like, Langlier's over Kirk, I get,
02:03because, like, Kirk has just played, like, 30 games, not even.
02:05But, like, Langlier's in the top spot makes sense.
02:08Rutschman, Dingler, I can get behind that.
02:10When I look at, like, some of the other spots, though,
02:13I don't know if it's as egregious as the National League side.
02:19The outfield judge being hurt stinks, but, like, that guy's going to always just kind of be in there,
02:24and when he's been on the field, he's been performing, it'll be interesting to see how it goes the next
02:27month now,
02:28because, obviously, these votes have been tallying up for a little bit while a judge was on the field.
02:32I don't know if I have a clear-cut gripe on the outfield side.
02:35I think it's about as solid as it can come there.
02:39Am I missing something?
02:40I don't think so.
02:41What's nice is, like, stars are playing like stars right now,
02:44and I do love that Texas is showing out right now for Deron especially.
02:49Like, Young, that's great, but he's still behind Miguel Vargas,
02:53and Kazuma Okamoto should not be an all-star.
02:55Common Arrow, I'm glad, is the top vote-getter right there.
02:58Like, this looks a little bit more ball-know-y, I think,
03:01but, you know, the Vladdy over Ben Rice thing is an issue,
03:04and then Kurt's being on the outside looking in is also an issue.
03:07But my eyes, like, they do drift to second base,
03:10and I'm like, this is kind of justice being served here with Clement at the top
03:14and Ezekiel Deron at Texas being right behind him with Bazzana in third.
03:20This position just is not good in the sport.
03:22It's not good, so it's like you get the above-average players,
03:25and it's like, yeah, no, I dig that.
03:26That's awesome.
03:26That one's fine.
03:28I gravitate that down to shortstop,
03:31and Andre Semenes is obviously the Canada bump there.
03:35Kevin McGonigal needs to be an all-star.
03:38Kevin McGonigal has been one of the best players in the sport this year,
03:42and I know he will be in there, but, like,
03:45and it's just kind of like who's going to start behind
03:47or who's going to be behind Bobby Wood Jr.,
03:48but I just think Kevin McGonigal, you know,
03:50and he's on pace for a six-war season.
03:53He's on pace to have a fantastic, fantastic year.
03:57I told you guys he could defend.
03:59That's a guy, Colson Montgomery.
04:01He has been phenomenal this year.
04:03I think those two guys obviously deserve a little bit more love.
04:06I agree with you on the third base front,
04:08and you can say the same thing with, like, Miguel Vargas.
04:10Like, Miguel Vargas and Colson Montgomery
04:12have been one of the best left sides of the infield
04:14in Major League Baseball.
04:16Okamoto's been good, and he's really heating up,
04:18but Vargas has been incredible.
04:20Josh Young has been fantastic.
04:22Both those guys should be up a bump there as well.
04:25And then I think the biggest gripe I have is Nick Kurtz at first base.
04:30This guy's been one of the best power hitters in the sport
04:33since he debuted,
04:34and he has not shown any signs whatsoever
04:37of slowing down this year.
04:39He's been fantastic.
04:41I mean, we just saw him the other day.
04:42We were talking about performers on Monday
04:43and just through the weekend.
04:44Like, he can leave the yard foul pole to foul pole.
04:46He's at a 173 WRC+.
04:48He's 3% better than his historic rookie season.
04:53He was one of the best hitters in the sport last year,
04:55and he's even better this year.
04:57Nick Kurtz can't be in fourth.
04:59It just can't happen.
05:01He's behind somebody who's been banged up,
05:02but I understand the excitement around Murakami
05:04and the cultural aspect of it as well,
05:05and he deserves a lot of votes.
05:06Ben Rice has been phenomenal.
05:08I can understand that,
05:09and the Yankees side.
05:11Vladdy has been one of the biggest disappointments
05:12in the league this year.
05:13He's got to go down,
05:14but even as good as Ben Rice and Murakami have been,
05:17Nick Kurtz might be in his own realm right now.
05:20He's the most feared.
05:21He's being pitched to as the most feared hitter in baseball,
05:23and I think he should be voted just like that as well.
05:25He's being pitched to as well.
05:25He's BEGIN nós.
