00:00they're going to play some people say the team that they're going to beat i guess we'll see

00:03but the toronto blue jays do advance to the world series off the strength of one swing of the bat

00:09let's keep it real because this this series was very even throughout george springer ends up

00:14hitting a three-run home run and the blue jays bullpen ends up doing the rest jeff hoffman

00:19fantastic in the ninth inning and uh here we are blue jays playing in the world series uh you know

00:24clearly a very big surprise around coming out of the american league oh my gosh yeah especially if

00:29you you told us this early in the year i think the mariners were a very believable group given that

00:33we've been kind of waiting for them to make this leap you know this has always been a talented team

00:37it's always been well when are they going to put the offense together and they did this year and so

00:42makes sense that they were a game away from the world series and i think it was a really

00:45encouraging season all things considered amidst the disappointment right now for the mariners but

00:50this blue jays team just has something to them you know and i think that's what you you see with the

00:55teams that make the runs you know even if they don't win it you think about like the diamondbacks

00:59and some of the other ball clubs in the past where you start a little bit slow uh or you know just

01:04there aren't a ton of expectations going into the year and then they end up just rattling it off

01:09down the stretch and really looking like one of the better teams in baseball and carry that momentum

01:13into the postseason there's a little bit of magic with this team there's a lot of talent though

01:17don't get it twisted and they've got vladi guerrero playing like the mvp candidate he has been in

01:22in the past which is a huge wrinkle in this whole thing as well and i think the most underrated part

01:26of this team is that one through nine you don't really have an easy out these guys are all giving

01:31you good ab's they don't strike out at all compared to basically any other team in the league and it's

01:36carried over into the postseason and they defend really well and i just think all those little things

01:40they're not going to beat themselves and if you give them a window they're going to take it and

01:44that's exactly what they did in this series
