Free Penguin book sharing box opens in Hartlepool

The Book Hogg can be found in Worset Lane, in Hartlepool, and is being stewarded by Hartlepool businesswoman Lyndsay Hogg, who is the co-founder of Hogg Global Logistics.

00:03A little bookshop? What's it all about?

00:05Yeah, so it's the idea that you take a book, you leave a book, and you know, you'll never need to buy a book again, hopefully.

00:12We try to encourage reading, and we're trying to get families out walking in this lovely country lane.

00:17So if they're out for a walk, if they bring a book, they can swap it for one that they haven't read.

00:21And we've had a few local authors as well that have brought along signed copies, so you might find them hidden in there.

00:26How interesting is that? How's it going down?

00:28It's really good, it's been well received. Everybody's been quite grateful and quite enthusiastic about the idea that it's come to Hartlepool,

00:37because it is Penguin Books all the way from America that have sent it for us.

00:40There looks a lot of divest books in the children's books, adults books.

00:43Everything, yeah, we've tried to cater for everybody's interests and reads, so hopefully there's something for everyone in there.
