Taxi drivers and residents speak out about bid to change taxi colours

Taxi drivers and members of the public have spoken out ahead of a licensing committee meeting that could lead to a change in colour of Hartlepool's yellow taxis.

00:03If you've got different colours, you won't know what car you're getting.

00:07So, it's closed now, it's staying yellow.

00:11But we've only just let this car down the road now.

00:14So, I scored in such a car and then it's great.

00:18If we'd known, I could have left it botanic blue.

00:21Stay yellow, it's synonymous with Hartlepool anywhere,

00:24and it's just a waste of money.

00:26There's other things that money can be spent on.

00:28There's bigger problems to deal with than the colour of a taxi.
