00:00Najib Razak once again challenged the credibility of former 1MDB officials who testified against him,

00:07asserting that they, not him, should be held responsible for any mismanagement and misappropriation of the company's funds.

00:15In a brief statement from the DOC, the former Prime Minister said he had been unfairly singled out in the case.

00:21Najib named former 1MDB CEOs Shahrul Azra, Ibrahim Halmi and Hazim Abdul Rahman,

00:26former Legal Counsel Jasmine Liu and former Chief Financial Officer Azmi Tahir as those responsible for the scandal.

00:35He also accused former Special Officer Amhari Effendi Nazaruddin of being involved in financial dealings that led to the collapse of the Sovereign Fund.

00:44Last year, the High Court ordered Najib to enter his defence on 25 charges of abuse of power and money laundering involving 1MDB funds.

00:52Today, Najib once again challenged the charges, claiming they were misleading and demanded justice and equal treatment,

00:59just like any other accused person in court.
