00:05that will define the next five-year plan,
00:07with a direct impact on the country's development strategy and the global economy.

00:18I'm speaking from Beijing, the Chinese capital.
00:21This time to inform you that the fourth plenary session
00:25of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China began this Monday.
00:33At this meeting, key leaders discuss policies and strategic directions
00:39that will guide the national course.
00:44The agenda is focused on the proposal of the 15th Five-Year Plan,
00:50which will run from 2026 to 2030.
00:57And it's expected to contribute to the maintaining an average GDP growth
01:03of close to 5% and reinforce progress in poverty,
01:09industrial modernization and technological capacity.
01:14Dong-Yu, an executive vice of the Institute of Developing Planning of Tsinghua University,
01:24noted that the plan will prioritize innovation, productive modernization
01:30and the promotion of emerging industries,
01:35such as the artificial intelligence, the renewable energy and electric mobility.
01:42furthermore, it seeks to integrate science, education and talent,
01:49promoting a knowledge-based economy with structural reforms
01:54and security measures to balance growth and stability.
02:00The final document will be presented to the National People's Congress
02:06in March of 2026 for formal approval.
02:12With this new stage, China is moving toward the socialist modernization projected for 2035,
02:23of consolidating its role as an engagement as an engine of innovation and global growth.
