Burning Plague — Burning Plague 1970 (Belgium, Hard, Blues Rock)
A Brussels-based band formed in 1969 by British-born guitarist/vocalist Michaël Heslop. Their musical style is hard-blues-boogie rock. In August 1970, the band performed at the jazz/pop festival in Bilzen, Belgium, alongside Black Sabbath and The Kinks. Signing with CBS, the band released their debut album in late 1970 to good reviews. However, lead composer Michaël Heslop, frustrated by the lack of support from the record label, decided to leave the band, joining Doctor Downtrip. Twenty-five years later, the band (with a different lineup) released their second album, Two.
