Good evening and welcome back to Thamesmead, Eriftown.
00:05
It was Eriftown 1, Haseks 1.
00:09
I've got James Westlake with me, the Haseks manager.
00:12
Please just sum up how you feel after that particular game.
00:18
I think it was really bested the lads after.
00:21
I think it was really positive that we picked up a point.
00:23
We've had a few defeats in a row.
00:25
It's been a tough run of games for us.
00:27
I think to pick up a point is really positive, especially on the road.
00:31
It can be a really difficult place to come.
00:33
We came here a few years back in FA Cup and got beat heavily.
00:36
It's good to come here and pick up a point.
00:38
I'm really pleased with the performance again, looking well.
00:41
It's a point in the right direction.
00:44
If we can draw our away games or be in games away from home
00:48
and pick up points at home,
00:49
we'll leave ourselves in a really good place come the end of the season.
00:52
I'm really pleased with today.
00:55
I could have taken all three, but happy with the point.
00:57
Good.
00:58
I totally agree with you from a fan's perspective.
01:01
That was a really good game of football.
01:03
Both sides had chances to win it.
01:05
I felt as if Haseks could have really taken that game away with them today.
01:11
On another day, maybe.
01:13
As you say, a point on the road is good, isn't it?
01:15
Yeah, I think so.
01:16
I think we had some chances.
01:18
I think the ball just doesn't feel like it's quite dropping for us at the moment in front of goal.
01:22
A couple of deflections maybe hit the back of the net
01:25
or a couple of good strikes seem to get blocked.
01:27
I said to the lads after, that'll come.
01:30
As long as we stay in games and as long as we're competitive,
01:34
we'll keep creating chances and we will take them in time.
01:38
I felt today like it sort of ebbed and flowed a little bit, didn't it?
01:42
One minute it was us and then it was them having a go.
01:45
I felt like we created the better chances in the game to go and win it,
01:49
but it didn't quite drop for us in front of goal today.
01:52
Okay. Going forward, what's next for Haseks in the next week or two?
01:57
What's the next big thing?
01:59
We've got Robert Chief at home next Saturday, which will be a big game for us.
02:03
All our home games are big games.
02:05
And then the next month and a half or so is a really tough month for us.
02:08
We've got a lot of away games, a lot of Saturday, Tuesdays.
02:11
We're going to need the whole squad.
02:13
We've got a really important period coming up between now and mid to end of November.
02:18
With lots of Saturday, Tuesdays.
02:20
So, yeah, we're going to give it our best shot.
02:22
We're looking forward to it.
02:23
And, yeah, a period in the season, which I'm sure will be a real challenge for us.
02:27
Well, thanks for coming out and talking to me.
02:29
Haseks, for me, really building on mid-Sussex football, really.
02:34
We've got Birdsteel and Hayward Seath in there,
02:35
but you guys have really come forward in the last couple of years,
02:39
got that promotion into this Ishmael South East.
02:43
It's a tough league, tough environment to operate in.
02:47
You guys are doing us proud. Keep it going.
02:50
Cheers.
02:51
Cheers.
02:52
Cheers.
02:53

02:54
