Land and Legal Affairs Minister spent some time in the Budget debate in the House of Representatives on Friday focusing a contract for a communications specialist who worked for the Government before the 2025 General Election.

00:13It was raised by the land and legal affairs minister who spent some time in the budget debate
00:18focusing on the contract of the communications specialist who worked for the government before
00:24the 2025 general election. I am told that there were contracts emanating from the Ministry of
00:31Finance for the period 1st December 2017 to the 1st of May 2025 as a communications consultant
00:39and during this period Ms. Barrett was paid $3,027,735 from the Ministry of Finance.

01:00Public funds were being used by that woman, Mr. Speaker, to denigrate persons, Mr. Speaker.
01:07The legal affairs minister did not stop there.
01:12You see, Mr. Speaker, and while she was engaged at the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Speaker,
01:17she was also collecting money from the NLCB, Mr. Speaker.
01:22At the same time, Mr. Speaker, she collected $300,000 from the NLCB, Mr. Speaker.
01:31Minister Hussain told the Parliament he has referred the matter to the attorney general.
