00:03I think when new players walk through the door, they don't want to give it the big one.
00:08Danny Ings, Ben Meade doesn't want to give it the big one, walk into the front door and go,
00:11I'm here, I've played this, I'm at the Premier League games, I've played for these teams.
00:17They don't, they integrate the way humbly into the group, whether it's Chio who's played in
00:24the Premier League or Mark McGuinness, Ben and Danny Ings, those types of characters.
00:35That process usually happens in pre-season, so we get it all out of the way and then now they have
00:42to be a voice. My conversation with them now is that you're in the building, so they are potentially
00:50those characters that we are missing and as well it's about time some of the senior players stepped
00:57up to the plate as well. We've lost characters without shadowed out. Robbo, Rian, Vinny and Nell,
01:03we've lost big characters. Kiefer, big character, so we've lost them. So the new ones have got to put
01:11all that to one side, which I've told them now. I know what your character is like and I've been in
01:17a change room Chris as well and it is quite funny that a new player will stroll it and it'll sort of,
01:24you know, I'm sitting here, I'm doing this, I'll park in that spot, I'll get on the music,
01:31I'll get my music on the sound system and everybody's looking around and going, not having him.
01:39And then these type of boys that are really solid pros, but now as I've talked to them about it,
01:46they've got to step forward. And as I've just said as well, the likes of Amen, Campbell and Burrows,
01:53even if he's a young player, and Sidi Peck, even if he's a young player, or Cooper,
01:56they've got to step forward and take the place because that's what happens. It's an evolution of
02:03Robbo can't play forever. These things do happen. Transfers, Vinny goes,
02:08you know, Enel goes, these things happen. Who's stepping forward? And, you know,
02:15those would be the messages that I would have installed on the first day of pre-season. I'm
02:20installing them after eight weeks or whatever it is, eight or nine weeks, which isn't ideal,
02:26but the message is over loud and clear now to them. And as you said, you know, I've had quite a lot of
02:33messages in terms of trying to get through to the players on a lot of fronts in a short period of
02:38time. But that message is loud and clear to them. Who's going to step forward? Who's going to
02:46beat the leader? Who's going to set things off? Who's going to take control? And hopefully we will
02:54see those guys coming to the fore. I've got to say, I've seen it this week after the tour.
03:02You know, I've seen the skipper needs to do more. I've talked to him about it. You know,
03:07he's played at a really high level. He's one of the top performers at Millwall. Another guy really
03:11humble. I think, you know, maybe he's looking at it and going, well, I've been given the captain's
03:17armband and I've, you know, I've only been here, you know, um, three, three or four weeks. Um,
03:24I might have to be careful that I don't upset anybody or don't say to Gus Amy, you need to do
03:30better or to Tyrese, you need to run down channels a little bit more or to Callum to get hold of it
03:35or to Siddy, limit your touches or to, to Harrison, find your quality or, or, you know, also those sort
03:42of messages. Um, but now he needs to, and they all need to. So looking forward to that, seeing it
03:49in training, but the acid test, as we, as we all know, is, uh, is what happens on a, on a Saturday
03:57afternoon. So, uh, fingers crossed, we'll, we'll, we'll see all those qualities, uh, against Watford.
