00:02What stood out for you so far about the team?
00:06I feel as though there's an energy about Preston this season

00:13I think starting the season well is always important
00:15and Preston have done that, which is good.
00:17I think the recruitment has been really good.
00:19You know, the importance of getting the right loan players,
00:21getting the quality in.
00:23And I think they've added that little bit of quality to Preston's team.
00:27But one of the biggest strengths is the fact that
00:29Preston haven't been conceding goals.
00:31It's the third-best defensive record in the Championship.
00:33For me, they've got the best goalkeeper.
00:35I don't think there's a better goalkeeper than Everson
00:37in the Championship.
00:38So all that little mixture, and I really rate the manager.
00:41It's now his second season.
00:43He's got a chance to really stamp his identity on the team.
00:46I really like the look of Preston so far.
00:49Also, the manager and his coaching staff.
00:51I really like the coaching staff that he's got around him.
00:54Some really good people who know the game.
00:56I'm optimistic what Preston can achieve this season.
01:01And what's success, I don't know.
01:03People will have their own ideas about success.
01:05But for me, I'm enjoying going to watch Preston.
01:07It's been a good start.
01:08There'll be highs, there'll be ups and downs during the season.
01:11But if Preston can compete to try and get in the top six this season,
01:14I think we're all in for an enjoyable season to watch.

01:19I think it's having a bit of hope.
01:21I don't think they're too fixated on,
01:22we want to finish ninth, we want to finish twelfth.
01:25Can you understand why hope maybe has been missing in recent years
01:28and why it's now there?
01:30Yeah.
01:31Although I've always looked at Preston as sort of that team,
01:34sort of ninth, tenth, eleventh.
01:36Can they put a run together?
01:37And never really being able to do that for whatever reason.
01:40And I've not always enjoyed watching.
01:45I've been there, in fact, I found it tough in terms of,
01:47God, we might nick a result.
01:49But I'm looking at the quality of Preston, I have a think.
01:51Now, Preston can compete with the decent sides.
01:54They've shown that, beating Leicester, beating Ipswich,
01:56comfortably beating Charlton as well.
01:59So I'm looking and thinking, no, no, Preston,
02:01Preston aren't just a side who's going to nick results.
02:03They're a side who can really compete.
02:05So, like I said, there's a different feel about it.
02:07I'm enjoying it at the moment.
02:08We're only nine games in.
02:09Things can change very, very quickly in football and in the Championship.
02:13But let's enjoy and hope that it's a season that it is one
02:17which can be memorable and the hope remains.
