It’s time for a Germany vs USA showdown!
We’ve got Mat in the incredible Mercedes-AMG G63, and it’s going up against the absolutely huge Ford F-150 Raptor R! So, can German power take down American power? Let’s check out the stats.
The G63 is powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 that produces 585hp and 850Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox, and it tips the scales at 2,550kg. As new, it costs around £185,000.

10:06do you know what was interesting about that we were side by side for longer but you seem to
10:30overtake me later or closer to the half mile than you did in the first one it seemed like i jumped you

10:39we need to just get on with the brake test that seemed closer even though we were neck and neck
10:43for a lot of it does that make sense yeah we were neck and neck for a lot of it then you pulled ahead
10:47and then you hit your limiter and then i came past whereas before you were well ahead of me maybe
10:52because mine kicked down to second and in second i had a better pickup and i should have probably
10:55started in second rather than third maybe i chose wrong oh well do we have to do the brake test i
11:00don't really want to do the brake test from honest this will probably win so there's probably no
11:03no point doing it it's just you know this is a better braking vehicle than that so we'll just
11:06leave it alone it'd be great to see which one stops the worst this is a good competition i think you're
11:11going to stop worse than me which is saying something with a g-wagon but let's do it if you'd

11:57actually a little bit of like black dust on the floor from your tires where where you just did the
12:03last bit of stopping i can see that was the last of the front brake pads they just scattered on the
12:09floor there i'll tell you how many car lengths it is now here we go that's one truck length that's two
12:18truck lengths and that's pretty much three truck lengths not good sam not good you did a very bad
12:25job there you're fired that was intensely scary but what's more scary is the ariel is a 50 cal bullet
12:32i only just noticed that yeah it's good it's not a real bullet it's just like a kind of fake one
