00:00G'day, I'm Paul. Behind me are three sets of Ford Raptors. A Bronco Raptor, an F-150 Raptor and a Ranger Raptor.
00:08I'm in the Middle East and I want to figure out which one of these is the ultimate Raptor for you to spend your money on.
00:14We only get the Ranger Raptor in Australia, unfortunately. We don't get the Bronco Raptor or the F-150 Raptor.
00:19And unfortunately, I'm not confirming today that they are coming.
00:22But I want to run you through what each of them are like, what the pros and cons are like.
00:25And if you are watching this overseas, which one you should be putting your money on.
00:28So, if you do want to skip ahead to other parts of this video, you can use time codes that are on the screen.
00:33Or if you're on YouTube, you can scroll down and use the chapters below.
00:37But let's have a quick look at what we're doing and we'll get right into it.
00:41Okay, so what are we doing with these three?
00:43Well, Ford is holding an event here in the Middle East where they wanted to get people experience across the three Ranger models.
00:49And given I own a Ranger Raptor, I thought this has my name all over it.
00:53I want to see how that compares to the F-150 Raptor and the Bronco Raptor.
00:57We're going to be testing them across different conditions.
01:00So, Bronco Raptor will be all about slow speed, rock crawling.
01:04F-150 Raptor will be all about faster sand driving.
01:08And then Ranger Raptor will be all about more technical sand driving.
01:12So, we're going to get behind the wheel of each of these.
01:14I'll run you through as much as I possibly can.
01:17Now, a lot of this is just going to be shot on my phone.
01:19So, it is going to just be a little bit sort of straightforward and not very well produced.
01:26But I hope you will be able to get the experience through what I'm saying and how it all sort of feels.
01:31So, we're going to kick off with the Ranger Raptor.
01:34This is pretty familiar.
01:36I think a lot of you who have watched the channel know everything about this.
01:39But I love this colour.
01:40Let me know what you reckon in the comments section below about it.
01:42I'll give you a quick recap on what this is.
01:44So, under the bonnet, 3-litre turbocharged petrol V6, designed and engineered in Australia.
01:51It's sold globally.
01:52And at the rear, you've got disc brakes.
01:56And in terms of suspension, it ditches leaf springs for coils with Fox suspension and a Watts linkage.
02:05You can see that under there.
02:06Now, that is important because when we get to the Bronco Raptor, you'll see that despite it sharing,
02:11basically, a changed version of this platform, actually has a different suspension setup.
02:17It's quite a different car in general.
02:19I'll show you inside as well.
02:24So, vertical display there in the centre.
02:26Your four-wheel drive controls are down here.
02:30Then you engage diff locks and all that sort of stuff in the centre.
02:33Screen ahead of the driver there as well.
02:35And steering wheel, have a look at that because that is different in the Bronco Raptor as well.
02:40So, yeah, we're going to go do some sand driving first.
02:43So, tyre pressures are down to about sort of 20 psi because we'll be doing some higher speed driving
02:49and then just going through the dunes.
02:52Then, after lunch, we're going to switch over to the Bronco Raptor.
02:56And tomorrow, it'll be F-150 Raptor.
02:57And I'll give you my verdict on which one I think is best.
03:04Okay, so we are in the Ranger Raptor.
03:07I've got to explain something.
03:08It's a little bit confusing, but hopefully it'll add some context to the video.
03:11I mentioned that I'm shooting all of this myself.
03:14So, the quality of this isn't going to be as amazing.
03:16Normally, we have a film crew that does all this, but I'm shooting this all on my own.
03:20It's just quicker and easier.
03:21Unfortunately, yesterday when we started the program in the Ranger Raptor,
03:24there was an incident and one of the cars was basically written off
03:28and they had to stop the program to recover the car and do all that sort of stuff.
03:31So, it meant that it affected my ability to actually film the content that I wanted to film with the car.
03:37And I thought, I'll have another crack at it the following day, which is today.
03:41So, anyway, that explains why this looks a little bit weird.
03:43So, Ranger Raptor.
03:44I own one.
03:45I've owned one now for a couple of years and I absolutely love it.
03:48Even to this day, you hop inside, you switch it on.
03:50And it is still so much fun to drive and there really isn't anything I would change about it.
03:56And that's because you're able to, you know, just put it into Baja mode,
04:00find yourself some sand and go hell for leather on it.
04:04Like, it really is a bit of a mounted goat when it comes to this stuff.
04:09There is nothing that it won't do.
04:11And strangely, it feels nimble and agile.
04:14And for such a big vehicle, that's really hard to say about a lot of vehicles.
04:17So, the fact that they've been able to achieve that, I think, is a pretty cool indication of how much work and effort they've actually put into this.
04:25So, from that point of view, I think they've done a good job.
04:28But still to this day, it just puts such a big smile on your face when you find yourself on a good little piece of track where you can unleash on it.
04:37You can see what you're doing.
04:38You've got plenty of sort of leeway to have fun with it.
04:42And it genuinely just surprises me that they put so much money into engineering a car like this.
04:51Because there is so much work that has to go into making this drive and feel the way that it does.
04:56It's not something that you just whip off the shelf and it just works.
04:59You have to really put a lot of effort into this.
05:00And to me, it just shows you Ford's commitment to the whole Ford performance mentality.
05:06This isn't just a thing with parts off the shelf.
05:09They've done a great job in engineering it and just giving it everything that it needs.
05:13So, look, to me, this thing is very hard to beat.
05:17And I'll be curious to see when I drive the other cars whether they have the same degree of confidence that you get behind the wheel.
05:24And, look, one of the things I still love about it is that when it's in Baja mode, it's like a little go-kart.
05:33You can just get stuck into it and have some proper fun with it.
05:37You know, it's weird to say about a two and a half ton vehicle that it feels like a go-kart.
05:40But, you know, it genuinely does.
05:42And the suspension, the way that it soaks up bumps is just on another planet entirely.
05:50They've done an amazing job with the suspension tune, steering tune as well.
05:56You just have to drive one to understand what I mean.
05:59Like, it is so cool.
06:02And the fact that also you can just leave it in two-wheel drive if you want and really just chop it all up is pretty unreal.
06:09So, I think, for me, just everything about the way that it handles makes it not feel like a dual-cab u.
06:17It shrinks around you.
06:18And that's something that's hard to say about the F-150.
06:22So, you know, I don't know.
06:25What can I say?
06:26It is unreal.
06:27And I still love it.
06:28Even to this day, you get bored of driving cars after a little while, a week or two weeks, that we're testing them for.
06:34But given that I've owned one now for two years, every single time I drive it, it is still tremendous fun.
06:40And there isn't anything about it I would change.
06:42You flick it on, and it just puts a smile on your face, whether you're commuting in traffic or whether you're out trying to be a bit of a hooligan on the sand.
06:51It's so good.
06:52But anyway, big fan of this.
06:58Let's go hop into the sibling, the Bronco Raptor, which shares a platform with this, but is massively expensive in comparison.
07:05We'll see how it all feels.
07:16Okay, so we're done with Ranger Raptor.
07:18Sorry, that was sort of super condensed and weird.
07:20And unfortunately, you know, look, accidents happen.
07:23The guy's okay.
07:24The car, not so much.
07:25But it just meant that the program was kind of condensed.
07:27I didn't get a chance to film exactly what I wanted to film.
07:30But we kind of already know Ranger Raptor.
07:32I've driven that heaps.
07:33I own one.
07:33I'm sort of fully across it.
07:34But this, on the other hand, haven't driven one of these.
07:37Keen to have a crack in it now, and also keen to have a crack tomorrow in the F-150 Raptor.
07:41So I'm going to run you through just what this is and how it all sort of, how it all works, because it's a really intriguing car.
07:48So Bronco Raptor, it does share a platform to a degree with the Ranger Raptor, but it is quite different in many ways.
07:57So front end, a lot of it has come off F-150 Raptor.
08:02There's differences in terms of the tyres and wheels.
08:05Have a look at that stance, by the way.
08:08I mean, it just, it looks like someone's taken a vehicle and dropped like 30 grand on it in terms of accessories, because it does not look standard at all.
08:14From the factory, you can get 37s, and it looks pretty unreal.
08:18On the bonnet there, you've got gills for cooling.
08:22Also on the side, this side channel on the Ranger platform is effectively a channel for cooling, but also gives you a slot for accessories, like a snorkel and that kind of thing.
08:32And these handles on the front there.
08:34Some proper, meaty recovery points.
08:36Like, this thing has been absolutely engineered for proper, fast, off-road driving.
08:42I haven't messed about with that.
08:44Let's talk about the price.
08:46So this starts at around $90,000.
08:51It is an incredible chunk of money, and I had a look at the stock selector on the Ford website, and we're talking about $100,000 plus your sort of destination cost to get this on the road in the States.
09:01That's a $170,000 car in Australia if you do the conversion, so it is a big old chunk of cash.
09:09So it looks pretty cool there.
09:11So I'll show you what it looks like in the boot here.
09:14So the boot, in addition to the doors and stuff, has a setup that allows you to have a pillarless design.
09:20So you can see there, that's why the boot opens, and then this section opens up as well.
09:23If you look at the doors, all pillarless.
09:26And part of the reason is the roof comes off, you can just, you can have a pretty cool looking car, and you've got a roll cage sort of built into it up the top there too.
09:35There it is there.
09:36But that price tag, I saw stuff like this where you can kind of just see interior panels there.
09:44It's quite scratchy, and yeah, okay, you expect it to be scratchy because it is a four-wheel drive, but it is a whole lot of money.
09:50So this is what the interior looks like, and again, just a little bit on the cheap side when you, again, consider the price.
09:58200k, just doesn't feel all that sort of special or crazy.
10:04So screen in the middle is a horizontal layout instead of a vertical layout.
10:07You've got Bronco off to the side.
10:09Some four-wheel drive controls up the top here.
10:11So you've got sway bar disconnect, and then your other controls there that I'll run through a little bit later on.
10:17Screen ahead of the driver.
10:19And your GOAT modes are down here.
10:22So greatest of all time, that's what that stands for.
10:25Nice looking seats as well.
10:27All right, so that has been a quick sticky beak at the Bronco Raptor.
10:35I'll show you under the rear here.
10:37So under here is where you're going to find panhard rod instead of a watts linkage.
10:42So again, a difference there from Ranger Raptor gives it more articulation.
10:48It means you're going to be able to do more stuff off-road.
10:50So close that up.
10:53Let me know what you reckon.
10:54Do you like the look of this?
10:55Would you pay $200,000 in Australia for this?
10:59That's assuming they could build them in right-hand drive at the moment.
11:02This has just been engineered for left-hand drive.
11:04So let me know your thoughts.
11:07Cannot wait to have a drive of this.
11:09What we're going to be doing in this is maybe a 20-minute highway drive,
11:13and then a little bit of gravel road,
11:14and then some quite low-speed technical off-road stuff in low range.
11:19So it'll be interesting to see how it goes,
11:21because this is a different vehicle in the sense that while it shares a platform,
11:28it is quite different beneath the skin.
11:31And I think that it will be interesting to gauge what that really does feel like.
11:35So initial impressions, a lot of tyre noise.
11:37It's interesting because Ford switched to a K03 for Ranger Raptor when it launched in the States,
11:42whereas this still retains a K02.
11:44There are incremental advantages with the K03 in terms of wet weather performance.
11:48A lot of wind noise.
11:49It is windy out here at the moment, but all you're hearing is wind noise.
11:52The fascinating thing, I've driven plenty of Jeep Wranglers,
11:55and given they have a live axle at the front,
11:57you get a lot of steering play, and it's very vague on the road,
12:00and just not very enthusiastic when it comes to driving.
12:05Whereas this, on the other hand, you've got IFS at the front,
12:09and while it has a heavier steering tune than the Ranger Raptor,
12:12it actually does feel quite sort of balanced and well connected to the road.
12:15And given how big this is and how meaty the dimensions are,
12:19like it is a wide thing,
12:22it is pretty impressive what they've been able to get out of it from a compliance standpoint.
12:26But yeah, like I said, wind noise is crazy.
12:27We're doing 80-ish k's an hour here,
12:29and all you can hear is wind noise inside the cabin.
12:32In terms of visibility, it's surprisingly good.
12:36You're sitting quite sort of high off the ground.
12:38The front corners have these like little handlebar things,
12:41and you've got gills there for the bonnet.
12:43I guess it could do with bigger wing mirrors,
12:45because they sort of feel a little bit small,
12:47and you can't see anything out the back window.
12:50There's also no digital rear view mirror.
12:51So visibility isn't amazing out the back,
12:54and I reckon you could do with some bigger wing mirrors.
12:56But outside of that, it's actually, it feels pretty nimble.
12:59It doesn't feel like this enormous vehicle that's hard to place on the road.
13:02All right, so I'm going to whack this over into sport mode.
13:07Let's see what it sounds like once we give it a kick here onto the frame.
13:12Here we go.
13:15Yeah, that sounds unreal.
13:20Nice.
13:21Yeah, it's got a bit of noise to it.
13:22It actually sounds much louder than a Ranger Raptor,
13:26because you're effectively, you know,
13:29the exhaust is coming into the cabin
13:30instead of sort of being located about the tray.
13:33So you're getting a whole lot more noise inside the car
13:36than you do in the Ranger Raptor.
13:39There's an exhaust button here,
13:41so I'll set it to my preferred annoy the neighbours mode,
13:44which is Baja.
13:45And I'll just see what it's like once we flick this U-turn here.
13:51All right, here we go.
13:55One more crack.
14:00Yeah, nice.
14:01Sounds pretty good.
14:02All right, we've got some sort of highway driving here ahead of us,
14:04and next time you hear from me,
14:08we're going to be heading towards the off-road course.
14:13This is addictive.
14:17Okay, so we've just left the hard top,
14:19and we are now on a very gravelly and rocky section
14:23that's going to take us down to, like, a pit that they've built
14:26for some slower speed rock crawling,
14:29which is kind of what they've got set up for Bronco.
14:32So, immediately, compared to the Raptor,
14:35this has a much softer ride.
14:38Like, it is a noticeable difference there
14:40in terms of how it actually traverses over some of this bumpier stuff.
14:45It means that you can carry a bit more speed over these rocks,
14:47and if you are sort of traversing to a location that is lower speed,
14:50you just sort of hoof along quite nicely,
14:52and a mixture of things there that's going to help you with that.
14:55And this actually has a lot of components
14:57that are borrowed from F-150 Raptor as well.
14:59So, even though it shares the sort of T6 platform with a Ranger,
15:03this is quite unique in the sense that, you know,
15:06it's not just a Ranger Raptor with a set of seats in the back.
15:09This is quite a different vehicle.
15:11So, yeah, it is a noticeable difference there between the two.
15:16Let's go for a little spin.
15:17This is primarily a rock course,
15:21so that's why we're doing this in the Bronco Raptor.
15:25Now, this has a sway bar disconnect,
15:27which I've got active now.
15:28I'm in low range.
15:29There's just a couple of sort of scrabbly bits here
15:32and sort of opportunities to crest some stuff,
15:34but I want to primarily just see how this feels different.
15:37This makes more power out of the box than a Ranger Raptor,
15:40so over 300 kilowatts of power.
15:42And in addition to that,
15:43you can actually get a power upgrade for Ranger Raptor
15:45and Bronco Raptor in the States,
15:47which is pretty cool,
15:48but 3-litre turbocharged petrol engine as well.
15:51The suspension feels way softer than a Raptor,
15:54so with the Raptor,
15:55you've got that sort of body-on-frame construction.
15:57It's more ute-based,
15:59whereas this actually has that sort of car-like feel to it,
16:03but this is primarily built more for proper Baja racing,
16:08driving off-road, wheel articulation.
16:10I've got to tell you what,
16:11the terrain here in the Middle East is unbelievable.
16:14It is so bloody cool.
16:16So, in addition to the sway bar disconnect,
16:18you've got front and rear diff locks,
16:20and the same 10-speed auto.
16:23Not a huge fan of the 10-speed.
16:25I reckon they could probably size that down,
16:26because especially here in low range,
16:28there are so many redundant gears
16:29that you're just flicking through constantly
16:31that are kind of really pointless for what they do.
16:34So, I've got a crest here.
16:36This camera's great,
16:37because I'm able to actually see what I'm looking at here.
16:41This is, like if you compare this to a Wrangler,
16:44it's in another legal together.
16:46Wrangler, yes, is a very capable vehicle off-road,
16:49but this is just in another legal together,
16:52both in terms of performance
16:53and in terms of what it's capable of doing off-road here.
16:57You're going to do a lot of modifications to a Wrangler
17:00to sort of get it to where you need it to go.
17:02This, from the outside,
17:03looks like someone has spent $30,000 modifying it.
17:07It has this fat stance.
17:10It just looks outrageous on the road,
17:12and, you know, it is just like a Tonka truck.
17:15So, yeah, look, I have been pretty impressed with this
17:18just on this little stage here.
17:19We've done some other stuff today that we didn't film.
17:22Just filming has been impossible on this event,
17:24but I think that this really takes it to another level
17:28when it comes to off-road ability in vehicles like this,
17:31like it is on another planet.
17:32Is it worth that much money, though?
17:34That is the only question,
17:36and I guess up to you guys.
17:37What do you think?
17:38Do you think it is actually worth this much money?
17:40Let me know in the comments section below.
17:42But this has been fun.
17:43So, next up, we're going to jump into the F-150 Raptor.
17:47That is going to be tomorrow,
17:48so you can see me probably in a different set of clothes.
17:50We're going to give that a crack and see how that goes as well.
17:53Okay, let's chat F-150 Raptor.
17:55By the way, have a look at this.
17:57Someone has just turned up here in a Raptor R,
18:00which is basically the big boy version, V8.
18:03But, yeah, F-150 Raptor that we're driving is the petrol V6.
18:08Now, this is an interesting car because it used to have a V8,
18:11and now they've kind of chucked a V8 back in it
18:13because they wanted to outdo RAM with the TRX.
18:17But this is basically a bigger version of the engine
18:19you're going to find in the Bronco Raptor and the Ranger Raptor.
18:223.5-litre turbocharged petrol V6,
18:25like 335 kilowatts of power,
18:28so more than the Bronco and the Ranger.
18:30But do remember that you can actually get a power upgrade pack
18:33for Bronco and Ranger that brings those outputs pretty similar.
18:37We don't get that in Australia, but you can get that in the States.
18:40This is a pretty beefy setup.
18:42So you've got the same or similar Fox live valve setup,
18:46but this actually has a bigger damper than the Ranger and the Bronco.
18:50Also notice the tyres.
18:52So Bronco comes standard with 37s,
18:54whereas F-150 Raptor, sorry, F-150 Raptor,
18:58I've got the R on my mind,
18:59comes with either 35 or the option of 37s,
19:03which is cool.
19:05Now I'll show you inside the cabin.
19:08They all have very similar sidesteps as well.
19:11I did manage to mash the sidesteps on the Bronco Raptor yesterday
19:14and actually held up pretty well.
19:16If it was one of the plastic sidesteps you find in a lot of cars
19:19where you get in Australia, it would be completely destroyed.
19:21Seats look sort of fairly modest compared to both Bronco and Ranger.
19:28You get a landscape screen there instead of a vertical setup that you do in the Ranger.
19:34The interior feels nice, but sort of not super luxury.
19:38Remember, this is a circa $90,000 car in the US, $90,000.
19:43So a big old chunk of change, but this is probably the best part.
19:47You can actually get so much more space in this.
19:50So you've got a lot more room in the back seat there compared to both Bronco and Ranger.
19:54So as a sort of tourer or family vehicle, you've got a lot more to work with there.
19:59In terms of the actual hardware itself, have a look at that suspension I was talking about there.
20:04It is absolutely mammoth.
20:05So it's a coil sprung setup as well.
20:09Panhard rod too, just like the Bronco.
20:14And unlike the Watson cage on the Raptor.
20:19There we go.
20:20So very impressive looking thing.
20:23So today we're going to be doing some higher speed driving in the sand with this,
20:28which should be very good fun.
20:33So I'm looking forward to that.
20:35And we're also going to do a little sound comparison.
20:37So I can show you what this sounds like compared to a Ranger Raptor,
20:41just for your reference as well, when it's under load.
20:43We've left the hotel.
20:45This one's going to be fun because this takes it up another level when it comes to capacity.
20:51So three and a half litre instead of a three litre,
20:53which is what you're going to find in the Ranger and the Bronco Raptors.
20:57This also has a beefier suspension setup.
21:00It's a heavier vehicle as well than both the Bronco and the Ranger Raptor.
21:04So it has to cater for bigger loads and bigger impacts when you are sort of going for it.
21:08Now, this isn't available in Australia, unfortunately.
21:11And even though Ford is doing conversions in Australia for the regular F-150,
21:17they're not doing them for the Raptor, which is a great shame.
21:20But this will basically, I guess, if you can get the interest in this and gauge enough interest in the product,
21:27this is a car that they can effectively convert to right-hand drive for Australia if they wanted to.
21:32So, all right.
21:33This is going to be a bit of a higher speed run compared to what we did with Bronco and Ranger as well,
21:41simply because the vehicle is more capable of doing that sort of stuff.
21:44We're going to be doing some sand driving, a bit of gravel stuff here as well.
21:49And we're also going to go to a dune.
21:50And at the dune, I'm going to give you a sound comparison, effectively,
21:54between the Ranger Raptor and the F-150 Raptor so you can see the note difference
22:00because this has a fairly nasty old exhaust note to it as well.
22:04Now, there's a bit of whoops here as well.
22:06We're actually going to be doing a faster section of the whoops soon as well.
22:09But this really is hard to explain when you're hitting these kinds of bumps.
22:14If you were just driving a normal vehicle, you would be all over the place.
22:17But this is so soft, so relaxing when it's hitting these bumps.
22:22Even at sort of higher speed, you don't really notice that much of a sort of thump through the cabin
22:27as it's climbing over this.
22:29This stuff is electronically controlled.
22:31So, as it is sort of moving through those suspension motions, everything is happening electronically.
22:35The stability control tune is fantastic too.
22:37So, it means that you can confidently sort of plough on with the throttle
22:42and it will just keep everything in check.
22:44You can constantly hear it binding away.
22:46In the Baja mode, it gives you just a little bit more slip for rotation,
22:50but also it gives you the ability to load up the tyre on this loose surface a bit more.
22:55So, if you do go for the brakes, it's actually building up a wall ahead of the tyre,
22:59which helps the vehicle slow down.
23:01Typically, if you just run a standard sort of ABS tune on a surface like this,
23:04it's going to be really hard to stop because it will just constantly keep locking and unlocking the brakes.
23:09Whereas, this is allowing the vehicle to hold those brakes a little bit longer to build up that barrier.
23:15And then, you've just got so much flexibility when it comes to just getting on the throttle
23:19and really throwing it around a bit.
23:21Okay, now, this is going to be fun.
23:24They've got a little section set up here where I am just going to unleash and rag on this thing
23:30over what's called the whoops, which is basically just a consecutive set of bumps.
23:35And if you were to do this in a normal car that doesn't have this type of suspension,
23:40you would basically just start hitting these
23:42and you would get to the point where you're just loading up that suspension
23:46and then it's just bouncing a lot.
23:49Now, the big difference here with this suspension and similar to Ranger and Bronco as well
23:54is that you have live valve, which is effectively the electronic control of the damping.
23:59You can really just manage compression, rebound,
24:02and just make sure that when you do have whoops like this at high speed,
24:06it's not just going to send you spring-loaded off into space.
24:09It's really going to manage suspension movement
24:11and keep the body in the same position.
24:13And I think that...
24:15I just heard a car taking off then.
24:17I'm going to give this a crack and see how we go.
24:20Okay, here we go.
24:21I'm going to load her up.
24:30And then just stand on it.
24:33Oh, yes.
24:37Oh, this feels so good.
24:41It is unbelievably quick.
24:49Oh, man.
24:55Wow.
24:56That is so cool.
24:58For a vehicle this size to just be able to do that
25:01is on just another planet altogether.
25:06And it gives you enough freedom to then sort of just get stuck into it
25:10and have some fun with it as well.
25:13So, oh, man, this is so bloody cool.
25:16Okay, so we're out of the cars now.
25:17We're going to do something interesting.
25:19That sand dune there, we're going to send a Ranger Raptor up
25:22and then an F-150 Raptor up just so you can hear the difference.
25:25I don't know how well the audio is going to pick it up,
25:27but Ranger Raptor will go first, then F-150 Raptor.
25:30So, despite them having sort of very similar engines,
25:33slightly bigger capacity in the F-150 Raptor,
25:35the sound is just completely different.
25:38So, yeah, let me know what you reckon.
25:39Which one sounds better?
25:40Let me know in the comments section.
25:41Okay, so we're finally done with our drive.
26:07We've done Ranger Raptor, Bronco Raptor, F-150 Raptor.
26:10Which one is the best?
26:13And I'm going to give you, well, look,
26:14I'll first declare that I'm probably biased,
26:16given that I own a Ranger Raptor,
26:18but I will also just give you what I think is probably,
26:23sounds like a diplomatic answer,
26:25but it's my sort of honest opinion.
26:26Of all the vehicles we've driven,
26:28probably the most capable at high speed sand driving
26:32has been F-150.
26:33Like, it just has guts.
26:35It feels really nice and smooth,
26:37and it feels, I guess, softer than the Raptor
26:39when it comes to soaking up some of these bumps,
26:41but it is a much bigger vehicle
26:43and it means that it is a little harder to place.
26:45And if you are in more technical sand driving
26:47where you've got a lot of steering rotations,
26:49it can feel quite, quite large.
26:51So, the Ranger Raptor really plugs that gap nicely
26:53because it has most of the ability of the F-150 Raptor
26:56just without the mass and without the huge size,
27:00which makes it difficult to drive
27:01when you're sort of driving in and around the city.
27:04The space in here in the F-150 is incredible.
27:06It gives you versatility of a big vehicle
27:08plus off-road capability.
27:11What about Bronco Raptor?
27:12Well, Bronco Raptor's a fascinating one
27:15because had it not been for the price,
27:17I mean, it is the jack of all trades.
27:19It really does rock crawling.
27:21It's got great suspension articulation
27:23and just, you know, a good vehicle for what it is,
27:26but it is expensive.
27:28And at that price,
27:29I think even if they ever did do a right-hand drive version,
27:32it just wouldn't come to Australia
27:33because it would just be,
27:34it'd just be too much.
27:35And I don't think that the interior reflects the price tag.
27:38This, you know, feels nicer
27:40and still not sort of amazing in terms of the price,
27:43but it does feel nicer than the Bronco
27:45in terms of what you presented.
27:47So, there it is.
27:48That's my kind of overview.
27:50And that kind of places the Ranger Raptor up the top then
27:52because it gives you the best of both worlds.
27:54You're getting the sort of nimbleness
27:56and the comfort,
27:58the practicality without the price tag.
28:00So, it really sort of slots in nicely.
28:01So, anyway, let me know what you reckon
28:03in the comments section below.
28:04Did I make the right choice?
28:05Which one do you reckon sounds best?
28:07And which one would you go for
28:08if you had as much money as you wanted?
28:11If you did enjoy the video,
28:12please make sure you like it
28:14and you share it with your mates.
28:15But until next time,
28:17see you later.
28:17See you later.
