00:00Coming in and these are fast-moving developments from the state of pole-bound Bihar where VIP
00:05Chief Mukesh Sahani will not contest assembly elections. Sahani has refused to contest the
00:11elections. He went to file his brother Santosh Sahani's nomination for the Goro Boram assembly
00:16constituency. Announced he would not contest the assembly elections this time but would work hard
00:22to form a Grand Alliance government. He said that a Grand Alliance government would be formed in
00:26Bihar this time. Regarding seat sharing he said that all details will be known within a day or two.
00:56Piyush is getting in more details on that story. Piyush, things have been moving fairly quickly, isn't it?
01:15As far as Mukesh Sahani is concerned, he was wanting 15 specific seats. The RGD willing to give only 12.
01:23He said he wants to be declared as a deputy CM. If at all the Mahagadvindan were to win, that is
01:29something again that the RGD was uncomfortable with. It does look like that he is upset about
01:34these things. What else are you picking up? Tell us more.
01:42Well, there is no doubt that Mukesh Sahani is upset and that's why he has now made it very,
01:47very clear that he is not going to contest the elections. Neither would he want our Rajya
01:50seat. He just wants to become Deputy Chief Minister if Mahagadvindan forms the government.
01:56The tussle between Mukesh Sahani and other alive partners of Mahagadvindan, including RGD in Congress,
02:03is going on for the last many, many days. And today is the last day of nomination. And he was also,
02:10you know, supposed to file nomination from Goro Buram. But now he has declared his brother as the
02:16candidate from that particular seat. And he also went, accompanied his brother while he had gone
02:22there to file his nomination. And there he has now declared that he is not going to contest the
02:27elections. He just, you know, wants to be declared as the Deputy Chief Minister candidate. At the same
02:33time, he is also saying that, you know, he would continue campaign for Mahagadvindan to ensure that
02:40there is a landslide victory of Mahagadvindan on all 243 seats. So that's a big confirmation,
02:46a big statement coming in from Mukesh Sahani, where he has decided not to contest elections.
02:50Remember that initially he asked for 60 seats. Then he, you know, he decreased the demand from 60
02:58to 40, then from 40 to 30, 30 to 15. And still, it is not clear on how many seats the candidates of
03:06Mukesh Sahani's party will be contesting elections. And the formula of Mahagadvindan is also not
03:10very much clear, you know, on how many seats which political party is going to contest. And remember
03:16that this is taking place on the day when nomination has also come to an end for the first
03:23phase of elections in the state of Bihar. Now, October 20 is the last day. And before that,
03:28they will have to, the all parties of Mahagadvindan will have to come out with a clear figure,
03:34with a clear mathematics on how many seats, which party is contesting to ensure that there
03:39is a candidate of Mahagadvindan on all 243 constituencies.
03:44In those details is Piyush at this point in time. Okay, Sahani was actually well on his
03:48way to, in fact, file for the nominations, but has got his brother now to do it, saying
03:52that he's going to be working hard for the Mahagadvindan. He joined in the Mahagadvindan,
03:56but there was back and forth is what we have seen for days together now. Sahani now has said
04:02he's not contesting the elections this time around.
