00:00:00Thanks for joining us for political talk on another Politipod Live.
00:00:05I'm Matt Nissenhoff.
00:00:08And I'm Tom Bickel, here to discuss current political events.
00:00:12Tonight we'll cover the Trump shutdown, Democratic reaction or not,
00:00:16check out on J.D. Vance, discuss the Republicans' war on America,
00:00:20talk about Gaza, and a reminder of your No Kings rallies for this Saturday.
00:00:25We'll also have our segments on the media and fascism creeps.
00:00:30And we'll start with, hello, Matt, we'll start with the Trump section.
00:00:35Hey, Tom.
00:00:36Hey, hey.
00:00:38Yeah, and real quick, to start that off, how can you not mention what I think is a headline-grabbing moment,
00:00:47which would be Trump's picture on the Time magazine's cover.
00:00:53And is there anything actually wrong with it?
00:00:55Yeah, there we go. Look at that guy there.
00:00:57There's been a lot of talk about it.
00:01:01He himself said, oh, they wrote a good story about me, but they had a horrible picture.
00:01:07And another source said it was very intriguing because, A, it shows what his hairline is or really isn't,
00:01:18and shows the neck vagina there and the right there, and then the ear, the famous left ear.
00:01:29And the Teflon ear, I believe, or diaper ear.
00:01:35I don't know which moniker is really stuck as far as that goes.
00:01:39But there he is with perhaps the most realistic picture of him that's come out in a very long time.
00:01:50And he definitely doesn't like it.
00:01:52So it's worth mentioning.
00:01:56Absolutely.
00:01:57Oh, yeah, this has been not the highest brow talk on the political circuit, but definitely has people abuzz.
00:02:06First, for the record, I'd like to offer a correction, if I may.
00:02:10I think the correct term is chin vulva, not a vagina.
00:02:17That's a different portion of the anatomy, not to be a stickler.
00:02:20Anyway, yeah.
00:02:21Do you have a medical background?
00:02:25Well, amateur gynecology has been a hobby of mine for many years.
00:02:32But other than that, no.
00:02:34No.
00:02:35That's why the prices are so low.
00:02:37I have no licensing to speak of.
00:02:40Perfect.
00:02:42All right.
00:02:42Now that I've really acquitted myself well, let me continue, if I may.
00:02:47I'll say something stupid again very soon.
00:02:51You know, I saw what he said about this.
00:02:54Initially, without the neck thing, in photography, if you want to show someone as an imposing figure, you shoot them from a lower angle.
00:03:03So I was willing to give the photographer that benefit of that doubt.
00:03:08But Time Magazine has subtly roasted him in the past.
00:03:14One of the photos they ran of him as his presidency ascended in the first term, as I recall, is him sort of looking back over his right shoulder, sitting in a chair, like a fancy upholstered chair, looking back at the camera.
00:03:34And it was, and he looked, you know, it wasn't an unflattering shot of him, but the chair, and I read a bit about it and had some art people look closer at the portrait.
00:03:48And the chair was kind of tattered, and the room was kind of run down, and there were, anyway, there were subtle little digs.
00:03:56And so I feel like this is continuing that tradition really incredibly on brand, because they have skewered him here with his neck folds, and the light, the use of the light to just show his bare skull as if he's bald as a cue ball, which, you know, he kind of is.
00:04:20Except for the cotton candy swirl he manages to pile on there every day, like, I don't remember who, anyway, who else did that?
00:04:31But, anyway, try to get back on track here.
00:04:36He, and he complained, you're right, he said they kind of did a kind of good story, a kind of good, they gave him a lot of credit in that story, as I've heard.
00:04:43But, he also complained that they put a crown on his head, he said, you couldn't see my hair, which is true.
00:04:54But he said something like he saw a crown, although a small one.
00:04:58I don't understand what that is meant to mean.
00:05:02Any, any, let me ask you, any idea?
00:05:05Well, I think that perhaps this is Donald Trump being Donald Trump.
00:05:12He's always got a way of saying that everything is really about him and his brilliance and his majesty is, you know, his majestic being.
00:05:20So, I'm sure he does see a crown.
00:05:23Exactly.
00:05:24I wondered if it was just visual delusion.
00:05:27Well, exactly.
00:05:28And I'm sure anybody he shows the picture, he mentions that, too.
00:05:31So, that they will see it, too.
00:05:33You know, where else he sees a crown?
00:05:35Every time he looks in the mirror.
00:05:37It's absolutely, it's not an artifact of this magazine, I think.
00:05:42Anyway, so, and this neck thing, buddy, I am never too mature to laugh at this guy's, you know, he can't hide it unless he loses 30 pounds.
00:05:58And he, short of an amputation, he never will.
00:06:00So, it's a nice little curse that the Lord has blessed us with, I think.
00:06:09There you go.
00:06:11That's, and, but that's the truth of it, as opposed to the paintings of him as a 6'5", 125-pound, you know, riding a lion.
00:06:20Whatever, you know, whatever, you know, whatever he gets painted himself with in majestic manner and with all sorts of athletic posing and, you know, whatever, carrying the weapon and jumping on the back of the, riding on top of the car with a, you know, M50, whatever.
00:06:44That is just all two, two-fisted, beefy, he-man, red-blooded American, alpha male.
00:06:54Just right, you just can't handle it, Matt.
00:06:57Exactly.
00:06:59Yeah, exactly.
00:07:00And that's...
00:07:01This is not a guy with a dirty diaper at any time in the last 10 years, I promise.
00:07:07Never.
00:07:08Well, we laugh about it, but it is the way that cabinet members have to acknowledge him prior to being allowed into the meetings, so...
00:07:18You know, I hate...
00:07:20I would allow the man his dignity if he had any.
00:07:24He's never been dignified.
00:07:26So, of course, I'm going to take swings.
00:07:28I would normally not make fun of somebody's age, their incontinence, but old Beelzebub here, I think he can take it.
00:07:35But there have to be exceptions.
00:07:37There do.
00:07:38There just has to be exceptions.
00:07:40And speaking of the things that he does, we should mention the, perhaps the lesser story of the two about him, of the many of his, but the shutdown of the government has popped up as well.
00:07:56And how that's working out.
00:08:00I know that there's been a lot about it, and I know you have a number of things that you want to mention.
00:08:06But I will mention that there is a news story of a judge, Susan Ilton, I believe is her last name.
00:08:15And she is probably the one that the case will go to when he starts firing federal workers, and she's already mentioned something about not accepting an argument for firing workers during the shutdown, which is interesting in two ways.
00:08:39There's one that she would mention it straight up, but also because it's been their whole thing.
00:08:47I mean, he's the you're fired guy, right?
00:08:50So his whole spiel about the shutdown is, oh, I'm going to, I'm going to, then I'm just going to go ahead and start firing people.
00:08:58And the Republicans have picked up on it, senators, congressmen, they're all repeating that, because they think it's tremendously clever.
00:09:07Oh, you shut down the government?
00:09:09Well, we're going to fire people.
00:09:11One, they were firing them already.
00:09:13Second, there's no, there's no cause for it in the first place.
00:09:19So, of course, if he does it, it will go to court, but he loves it when it goes to court, because it makes it, it makes the resolution delayed, and it allows him to continue the PR spin, whether he continues it as, oh, it's a witch hunt, or whether he continues it as, you know, my enemies are against me.
00:09:40And these are enemies of the state who are challenging my authoritar, he's whatever, whatever his PR spin is, he'll grab hold of and pursue without, you know, any relevance to anything else.
00:09:58So that's what I was thinking of.
00:09:59What about you?
00:10:00What do you think is going to, what do you think is panning out here?
00:10:03I think both sides feel like they're willing to drive this thing into the ditch, and so it's going into the ditch.
00:10:13I think you called it right when you said this thing could have legs, and it seems to be bearing out.
00:10:20Neither side's even really talking, they're just blaming the other.
00:10:23Neither side's really talking about moving forward without their sacred cows, sacred calves.
00:10:33However it goes, I'm not literate.
00:10:37So, yeah, everybody seems to be playing that game of chicken.
00:10:42But we're going to start, I read recently that it was either federal agents or soldiers, I think it was soldiers, are going to start missing paychecks because of it.
00:10:55And that's going to be a whole different layer of pressure and outcry.
00:10:58And so, yeah, people are going to start putting pressure on their elected officials, and we'll see.
00:11:08I don't know.
00:11:09I have no insight or wisdom.
00:11:12Well, here's an issue with that, and that is the Republicans are the party that based an entire identity of theirs on supporting the troops
00:11:29and giving thoughts and prayers to the troops and, you know, always go up and say thank you for your service
00:11:35and always being very deferential and saying, oh, look at how badly you're harming the troops by doing A, B, or C, whatever it is.
00:11:45You know, there's that whole nonsense about unit cohesion that they came up with because there might be gay people or women in the military,
00:11:58and unit cohesion would be decimated by the whole, you know, the horribleness of allowing such things.
00:12:05And, of course, all that is nonsense, but it takes a twist there because the troops are not going to get paid.
00:12:14And with government, the big expense, like in any business, is employing people, paying people to do things.
00:12:24And that's what you need.
00:12:25And that's the government, the model of the government is that it has people that actually do things.
00:12:31The problem is they do very important things, and it's easy to not accept what they're doing as important because it's sometimes in the weeds.
00:12:43You know, you've got people who are studying illnesses and are trying to produce things that will, or produce a paper chain as to where things come from, like food.
00:12:58You know, when somebody gets sick at a restaurant in America, it used to be that there was the system in place so that they could literally trace where they got that particular thing
00:13:10right down to the country it came from, to the region it came from, to the field it came from, to the very row where it was grown,
00:13:18because there was a lot of paperwork, they could do that.
00:13:20And they could say, okay, well, what's going on with this?
00:13:23What happened?
00:13:24What contaminated it?
00:13:26So they could find it and stop it or change it or, you know, figure out something to do to help the people who became sick from it.
00:13:32And all of this trying to desperately slash government workers so that the bill is reduced or austerity can be promoted or for whatever reason it is, that's what hurts people.
00:13:47Not only the workers for not having work, but because they're doing things that actually help other people and our fellow citizens.
00:13:54And with the military, the military works on having people in it.
00:14:00I mean, you can have all the fancy gadgets and the weapons and the this and the that, and you may need them, but they don't go anywhere.
00:14:07If there aren't people actually lugging them from one place to another or driving them from one place to another and using them.
00:14:14So just saying this simplistic sort of thing of we're going to, you know, not pay military people, hopefully the military people will make a case for themselves, be able to stand up for themselves.
00:14:31And that is another issue because they're, frankly, they're used to being stepped on.
00:14:38They're used to being, you know, you're going to get less pay and you have to do more things and you're doing this because you're a patriot.
00:14:46You're not doing this because you're getting paid.
00:14:49Well, surprise, these are people who have work and get paid and have families and need money as much as they are patriots or the purpose, the reason that they are part of the military and a military unit.
00:15:04It includes getting paid.
00:15:07God damn it.
00:15:08You know, and and so when you stop paying, let's see what their reaction is.
00:15:14Let's see if all these people who are so desperate to get others to support the troops will get off their keisters and do something so that the pay is restored.
00:15:27But that goes for every government worker.
00:15:28You know, there's there's all this talk about all this waste and that's out there and all these things that are happening.
00:15:33It's not really.
00:15:36There's not really a lot.
00:15:37Once you look into it, there's not a lot because it's been cut out for 80 years, 90 years, 120 years.
00:15:44There's always somebody saying you've got to cut and cut more.
00:15:47And there's this waste.
00:15:49And it's it's much less than anybody.
00:15:52Well, it's much less than it is promoted as being because making it an epidemic is easy.
00:15:58And it explains some very simplistic notions.
00:16:05Anything else as far as maybe our friends in the House or House of Representatives?
00:16:10And I would just like to touch on a few things you said, because I think you put your finger on it.
00:16:16First of all, in reverse order.
00:16:19Yeah.
00:16:20Waste, fraud and abuse.
00:16:21Anybody?
00:16:22Are you kidding me?
00:16:23I mean, the way the money is being worked out is not going well.
00:16:30I mean, I read that they're looking into paying the soldiers out of future research and development money.
00:16:37It's like tagged for some next term or something like that.
00:16:41So they're just going to, I don't know, tap that.
00:16:44Is it imaginary?
00:16:44Is it money we already have?
00:16:46I don't know.
00:16:46But that's waste, fraud and abuse, I think, all at the same time.
00:16:54It's the trifecta.
00:16:55We call it a full house down at the Trump administration.
00:16:59Like the post office, like the Republicans, how they undermine the post office.
00:17:03They started saying you have to pay the pensions in advance.
00:17:07So you have to use the money from your budget to do that.
00:17:10And then they said, oh, look, they waste their budget.
00:17:12They don't have enough money.
00:17:13They're in debt.
00:17:14Like you rigged it.
00:17:17Exactly.
00:17:18They ruin it and they say, look, it's not worth having.
00:17:21Right, exactly.
00:17:23They sell it for parts.
00:17:24And then, yeah, and you said early on, you said a mouthful.
00:17:28And early on, you prefaced it by noting that Republicans are the goody, goody, rah, rah, support the troops, hand over the heart, tear in the eye, sing the Star Spangled Banner.
00:17:41And you better sing it loud and you better not let that flag touch the ground, all this stuff.
00:17:46That is, they claimed it.
00:17:47They claimed that red, white, and blue high ground, long and loud and from the rooftops.
00:17:54They have, but the hypocrisy, I hate to be so negative, but the hypocrisy doesn't begin to end there.
00:18:03But the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms and that being essential to stopping what?
00:18:13Tyranny.
00:18:14Tyranny.
00:18:16We are up to our armpits in tyranny right now.
00:18:19And where are these people?
00:18:20Where are all these dadgum, red-blooded, you know, salt-of-the-earth people who were going to lay down their lives and race from goddamn hell in defense of America and freedom and liberty and the Constitution?
00:18:37And it's all being just digitally penetrated by this administration and they're not doing anything about it.
00:18:46They're on the other side.
00:18:48They're siding with the tyranny.
00:18:49So, the hypocrisy runs rich and thick and deep.
00:18:56And I couldn't let that go by without saying amen to, yeah, they were the people who were supposed to be all about it.
00:19:04And now, they're not only quiet, they're on the other side.
00:19:08Yeah, I believe they're called ICE now.
00:19:10Yeah, so, there are, and another point along those lines is that Trump's latest spin is this whole thing about identifying Democrat programs that he could permanently close because of the shutdown.
00:19:29And what it will do is it's just any program that will actually help people.
00:19:34And that's, for him, that's a Democrat program and he'll be happy to close it.
00:19:40Because he, A, doesn't give a damn, but also because it will make him look like a hero to his base and to the Republicans who are, you know, just want to be seen as tough and acting out the, you know, this is the way things used to be, which it never was.
00:20:02But that's part of their program.
00:20:10So, there's, speaking about the, is there anything else about the shutdown that you want to?
00:20:18No, sir.
00:20:19I think we've covered it.
00:20:21Mentioned, and there's been a, you've mentioned earlier that the idea of how there's the two parties and they're kind of running along the same lines.
00:20:32Where I will agree with you on that is that the Democrats are not coming across as strong.
00:20:39With this issue, with the shutdown, they can actually and have shown some form of the remnants of a backbone by standing up for the health care system for the ACA.
00:20:54And it's given them something to actually stand up for, whereas they could have been standing up for democracy all along and not allowing what's, or had been more of a monkey wrench in the program all along.
00:21:09But they are doing this, and they are standing strong for the ACA, and we'll see if they're able to figure out then that they have to actually stand up for the rest of it as well.
00:21:21But the countering activity prior to this has been, you know, Hakeem Jeffries with a, taking a picture of himself with a baseball bat to show that he was rough and tough and ready to, to, to do something.
00:21:40Eh, okay, nice.
00:21:41I'm glad you sent it out, or I'm sure you sent it out with a donation request, you know, with that picture.
00:21:47Sure. And then Schumer, Senator Schumer, who has a long history of talking about how he has friends who are Republican.
00:21:57He, he works out in the Senate gym with people who are Republicans.
00:22:01He can't do things that would make them angry.
00:22:04He's their friend.
00:22:06And so.
00:22:06We're all wondering, happy country.
00:22:08Yeah, exactly.
00:22:10Seeding democracy in the name of having somebody to work out with.
00:22:15You could get somebody else to spot you.
00:22:16I know, you know, I, I, I'm going to wipe down the machine though.
00:22:20That's what I want to know.
00:22:22Let me hurry up and agree with you, uh, that I gave the Democrats short shrift.
00:22:27Um, and I did it in another way too.
00:22:29I said, nobody's really looking to, uh, hurry up and negotiate this thing.
00:22:34Democrats as I've, from the media I've seen have been, uh, very available in the halls of, you know, where the legislation gets done.
00:22:43Uh, and that, uh, the Republicans have run for the hills.
00:22:48Uh, so, uh, I shouldn't, I, I misspoke when I said, nobody's trying to negotiate.
00:22:53I guess what I was getting at is that I feel, I feel like they feel emboldened to hold out for, uh, some sort of a scalp, some sort of progress, some sort of principle.
00:23:04Dare I say it, uh, and fight for the AC, uh, the ACA, like you said, and, uh, good for them.
00:23:12We have to do something because the following the playbook while the other side just tears out page after page is no good.
00:23:20Uh, and I don't want to see people in people or businesses injured, uh, from this, but we can't keep going on the way we're going.
00:23:30We have to do something.
00:23:31And this is definitely something anyway.
00:23:34So I sold them a little short.
00:23:35Let me try to catch that back up.
00:23:37And that's, uh, that's my effort at that.
00:23:39Fair enough.
00:23:40Fair enough.
00:23:41Good point.
00:23:42I would say, and then this, so that brings us to one of our segments.
00:23:46And, uh, we have, if you've seen the show before, and hopefully you have, if you haven't, thank you for joining us.
00:23:52Uh, and we have, uh, uh, some breaks in between the issues that we talk about to take on segments on particular matters.
00:24:01This one is on the media and how the media is keeping up with its portion or the, its part in the democracy, the fifth estate,
00:24:14the one that's supposed to be keeping the, uh, government folks held accountable and telling us what's happening, uh, as honestly as they are able, uh, to be, uh, with whichever medium they're using.
00:24:30Um, and in this case, I guess the first thing we should mention is the whole Pentagon kerfuffle where, uh, Pete Hegseth had, uh, ordered that the Pentagon would require media sources to come to it and give, uh, an accounting prior to any meetings.
00:24:59And prior to any, uh, events where it might be questioned, the Pentagon might be questioned and explain what it is they were going to ask and tell them the issues that they would be bringing up.
00:25:10And making certain that everything was cleared, classified or not, that everything was cleared, uh, with the person, uh, prior to any interview or presentation or press event.
00:25:25And that they would, uh, uh, the Pentagon would then be, uh, uh, uh, clarifying which ones that they would discuss or not discuss, or that you were not allowed to ask.
00:25:36and it would be a pledge.
00:25:41I believe they had to sign a pledge,
00:25:44which when they're asking you to sign a pledge,
00:25:49that's usually tip of the hat right there.
00:25:52That's a little tip off right there.
00:25:54Yeah, if I may proffer,
00:25:56the only thing worse than having to sign a pledge
00:25:58for the Pentagon is if they just printed
00:26:01the First Amendment and made you eat it.
00:26:05That's pretty bad.
00:26:06Sorry, please continue.
00:26:09That's good.
00:26:11Yeah, I believe you have a point there.
00:26:16Yeah, but loyalty pledges are not something
00:26:19that's either appropriate in a democracy,
00:26:23much less for a press to take on
00:26:28as something that they would agree to do.
00:26:31So I don't know how they thought that would go.
00:26:36I mean, maybe, you know, to be fair,
00:26:39it is the Trump era,
00:26:40and you should probably be willing to sign pledges of loyalty,
00:26:44and you should probably be prepared to, you know,
00:26:48seed any sort of sense of questioning
00:26:55or disagreement or dissent.
00:26:58That should all be left behind because, you know, Big Daddy says so.
00:27:03There's an example of actual journalism that has popped up.
00:27:09Maybe you can argue both sides of the coin
00:27:13that there's been a certain rigor to the press in the past.
00:27:19You can say that they sort of let things slide,
00:27:21and we are where we are now because of the way,
00:27:24well, part of the reason we are where we are
00:27:27is how the press has not handled things
00:27:30as well as a fifth estate should.
00:27:33But there was an interview recently
00:27:35with everyone's favorite vice president, J.D. Vance,
00:27:39if that's the name he's using currently.
00:27:43Is it?
00:27:44I'm not sure.
00:27:44It's the surname, isn't it?
00:27:49Something like that.
00:27:51Exactly.
00:27:52Wait a minute.
00:27:53Give him a few minutes.
00:27:54We'll see if.
00:27:55But he was being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos on ABC,
00:28:03and it was rather heartening to see.
00:28:07You, I believe, have the video, actually.
00:28:10I do have that video.
00:28:11Let's roll it now, and we'll give it a talk afterwards.
00:28:15Or maybe during.
00:28:17The White House boarders are Tom Homan
00:28:19was reported on an FBI surveillance tape
00:28:20in September 2024 accepting $50,000 in cash.
00:28:24Did he keep that money or give it back?
00:28:28George, you've covered the story ad nauseum.
00:28:31Tom Homan did not take a bribe.
00:28:34It's a ridiculous smear.
00:28:36And the reason you guys are going after Tom Homan
00:28:38so aggressively is because he's doing the job
00:28:41of enforcing the law.
00:28:43I think it's really preposterous.
00:28:45I know Tom.
00:28:45I think that he's a good man.
00:28:47He gets death threats.
00:28:48He gets attacked.
00:28:50He gets constantly threatened by people
00:28:52because he has the audacity
00:28:54to want to enforce the country's immigration laws.
00:28:57I think that it would be a much more interesting story
00:28:59about why is it that Tom Homan,
00:29:02who is simply enforcing Americans' immigration laws,
00:29:05is getting constantly harassed and threatened
00:29:07to the point of death threats.
00:29:09That's a much more interesting question
00:29:11that I think journalists should focus on.
00:29:13We can agree to disagree on that question.
00:29:15You said he didn't take a bribe,
00:29:16but I'm not sure you answered the question.
00:29:18Are you saying that he did not accept the $50,000?
00:29:20George, this story has been covered ad nauseum.
00:29:25He did not take a bribe.
00:29:27Did he accept $50,000?
00:29:29I'm sure that in the course of Tom Homan's life,
00:29:32he has been paid more than $50,000 for services.
00:29:35The question is, did he do something illegal?
00:29:38And there's absolutely no evidence
00:29:40that Tom Homan has ever taken a bribe
00:29:41or done anything illegal,
00:29:42which is why he's working in the administration.
00:29:45I'm asking you, did he accept the $50,000
00:29:47that was caught on the surveillance tape?
00:29:49Did he accept that $50,000 or not?
00:29:53George, I don't know what you're talking about.
00:29:55Did he accept $50,000 for what?
00:29:57He was recorded on an audio tape
00:30:00in September 2024, an FBI surveillance tape,
00:30:03accepting $50,000 in cash.
00:30:05Did he keep that money?
00:30:09Accepting $50,000 for doing what, George?
00:30:11I'm not even sure I understand the question.
00:30:13Is it illegal to take a payment for doing services?
00:30:16The FBI has not prosecuted him.
00:30:18I've never seen any evidence
00:30:19that he's engaged in criminal wrongdoing.
00:30:22Nobody has accused Tom of violating a crime,
00:30:25even the far-left media like yourself.
00:30:27So I'm actually not sure what the precise question is.
00:30:30Did he accept $50,000?
00:30:32Honestly, George, I don't know the answer to that question.
00:30:35What I do know is that he didn't violate a crime.
00:30:38So you don't, what was caught on the tape,
00:30:40you're saying right now you don't know
00:30:42whether or not he kept that money?
00:30:45I don't know what tape you're referring to, George.
00:30:48I saw media reports that Tom Homan accepted a bribe.
00:30:51There's no evidence of that.
00:30:52And here's, George, why fewer and fewer people
00:30:55watch your program and why you're losing credibility.
00:30:58Because you're talking for now five minutes
00:31:00with the Vice President of the United States
00:31:02about this story regarding Tom Homan,
00:31:04a story that I've read about,
00:31:06but I don't even know the video that you're talking about.
00:31:08Meanwhile, low-income women can't get food
00:31:12because the Democrats and Chuck Schumer
00:31:13have shut down the government.
00:31:15Right now, we're trying to figure out how to pay our troops
00:31:17because Chuck Schumer has shut down the government.
00:31:19You are focused on a bogus story.
00:31:22You're insinuating criminal wrongdoing
00:31:24against a guy who has done nothing wrong
00:31:26instead of focusing on the fact
00:31:28that our country is struggling
00:31:30because our government's shut down.
00:31:31Let's talk about the real issues, George.
00:31:34I think the American people would benefit
00:31:35much more from that than from you going down
00:31:38some weird left-wing rabbit hole
00:31:40where the facts clearly show that Tom Homan
00:31:42didn't engage in any criminal wrongdoing.
00:31:44It's not a weird left-wing rabbit hole.
00:31:46I didn't insinuate anything.
00:31:47I asked you whether Tom Homan accepted $50,000
00:31:50as was heard on an audio tape recorded by the FBI
00:31:53in September 2024,
00:31:55and you did not answer the question.
00:31:56Thank you for your time.
00:31:57So there's a happy ending, at least.
00:32:08At least for this one, there's a happy ending.
00:32:11And I want to point out, I'm sorry, Matt.
00:32:14I just want to cap on the end of that.
00:32:16There's a few seconds at the end of that video
00:32:18that we didn't get
00:32:19where George Stephanopoulos gives him his,
00:32:23tells him what he tells him
00:32:24and says, thank you for your time.
00:32:25And then there's about two and a half seconds
00:32:28of hamana, hamana, hamana
00:32:29from our esteemed vice president
00:32:31trying to say, well,
00:32:32and trying to get back,
00:32:34get a few words in edgewise
00:32:36and Stephanopoulos wasn't having it
00:32:37and they went to commercial.
00:32:40Yes, true, true.
00:32:44Yeah, and it was just,
00:32:48it's true that what Harry S. Truman said
00:32:52that when he was vice president,
00:32:55the office is not worth a bucket of warm spit.
00:32:59But I think that we have a new low
00:33:03for vice president
00:33:05when he's out there trying to do spin
00:33:08in the culture war
00:33:10on the Democrat left wing,
00:33:15blah, blah, blah, whatever it is,
00:33:17to anything that he is not able to,
00:33:24you know, honestly,
00:33:25he can't honestly talk about it.
00:33:27So he goes into this thing
00:33:29about left wing rabbit holes
00:33:30and whatever it was else that he said.
00:33:36And I'm very heartened by Stephanopoulos
00:33:38actually standing up to it.
00:33:39I'm very glad that somebody
00:33:42actually called him on it
00:33:43and said, look, okay,
00:33:44he didn't answer.
00:33:45We'll move on.
00:33:46We're out of here.
00:33:47And not allowing him to,
00:33:49as you said,
00:33:49he kind of gave out that second or two
00:33:51of blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
00:33:53And Stephanopoulos just,
00:33:54the control room was smart enough
00:33:56to just go to a commercial
00:33:57and not let him get back on the hole.
00:34:00Absolutely.
00:34:01They give these people
00:34:02way too much leeway
00:34:03in so many instances.
00:34:06And I was just,
00:34:07it was slightly heartening
00:34:09to see that not happen.
00:34:12And for them to go,
00:34:12they let him run his game.
00:34:14They let him say whatever stupidity.
00:34:16And I'm sorry to interrupt you.
00:34:18Whatever nonsense he wanted to say,
00:34:20they let him say it.
00:34:21George did not even fart
00:34:23during that guy's tirade,
00:34:25including when he shit on George's desk
00:34:28about how terrible ABC News is
00:34:31and how their viewership sucks
00:34:34and they suck.
00:34:36And it sucks to suck.
00:34:38They let him do all of that.
00:34:40They did insert a question now and then
00:34:43because he never answered one.
00:34:45But other than that,
00:34:46they were very respectful.
00:34:47They gave him his time
00:34:48to run his little side show.
00:34:49And then at the end,
00:34:50they said,
00:34:51that's how it went.
00:34:53That's what you said.
00:34:54Goodbye.
00:34:54Anyway,
00:34:58since I'm trampling all over
00:34:59what you said,
00:35:00let me get a few other words
00:35:01in edgewise.
00:35:04I mean,
00:35:05that,
00:35:06what a display.
00:35:07Everybody who saw that
00:35:09roundly panned
00:35:10this terrible
00:35:12attempt at tap dancing,
00:35:15at dancing between the raindrops.
00:35:17The dude does not have
00:35:18the chops,
00:35:19the moves,
00:35:20any of it.
00:35:21He can't do it.
00:35:23He's like,
00:35:23this is like karaoke night
00:35:25on the big stage
00:35:26and the guy can't hold the tune.
00:35:30He tried to blame Stephanopoulos.
00:35:32You can't brush back Stephanopoulos
00:35:34with that weak soup.
00:35:36Are you kidding me?
00:35:37I mean,
00:35:38he's,
00:35:38I don't picture him that tough,
00:35:40but holy cats,
00:35:41you gotta,
00:35:42you gotta do better than that.
00:35:44And,
00:35:44and to his credit,
00:35:46Stephanopoulos just held firm,
00:35:48waited quietly for this guy
00:35:49to answer the mother-loving question.
00:35:52And he never did.
00:35:54That guy would have done anything.
00:35:56He would rather have sung you a song
00:35:58during that interview
00:35:59than try to answer that question anymore.
00:36:01I thought he,
00:36:02the only,
00:36:02short of faking a heart attack,
00:36:03that was the most embarrassing thing
00:36:05out of this administration
00:36:06since,
00:36:07since Trump's nekosy.
00:36:09It's just reprehensible.
00:36:13And I like how in almost the same breath,
00:36:16I want to note this.
00:36:17he says,
00:36:19listen,
00:36:20nobody's accusing Tom Holman of a crime,
00:36:22dot,
00:36:22dot,
00:36:23dot.
00:36:23Hey,
00:36:23stop accusing Tom Holman of a crime.
00:36:26All right.
00:36:27Which is it?
00:36:29Anyway,
00:36:30that was rich.
00:36:32That was a guy trying to walk on water
00:36:35and drowning.
00:36:37Immediately.
00:36:38Oh,
00:36:40and it just gets funnier
00:36:42every time I see it.
00:36:44Please.
00:36:44Yeah.
00:36:45Yeah.
00:36:45The whole line,
00:36:46the whole line of,
00:36:47I don't know.
00:36:49He was,
00:36:49he accepted $50,000 for services.
00:36:53How do you not know?
00:36:54He's acting.
00:36:55And that's another thing I forgot to say
00:36:56while I was interrupting you again.
00:36:59How do you even try to act dumb on that?
00:37:02You're the vice mother loving president.
00:37:04How do you not know that this guy
00:37:08is on the FBI tapes taking a bribe
00:37:10and you never heard of it?
00:37:11Which now was he the contractor
00:37:14that did your bathroom?
00:37:15Cause he people need to get paid.
00:37:17No.
00:37:18How do you even try to sell that soft?
00:37:20So I don't get it.
00:37:23that's,
00:37:24it's not only corrupt,
00:37:25it's inept at being corrupt.
00:37:28It's layers.
00:37:32Yeah,
00:37:33yeah,
00:37:33exactly.
00:37:34I,
00:37:34you know,
00:37:35Stormy Daniels got what?
00:37:37120,000?
00:37:39130.
00:37:40130,000.
00:37:42So Holman's not even up to speed
00:37:44on what they're supposed to charge.
00:37:47Oh,
00:37:49I'm sorry.
00:37:49She's not a whore by the way.
00:37:50She's a adult actress.
00:37:52And multi-varied faceted
00:37:54and talented performer as well.
00:37:57That slipped out a little too easily.
00:37:59I apologize for my misogyny.
00:38:01All right.
00:38:02But talking about J.D. Vance.
00:38:04Now Holman's a whore.
00:38:07I don't retract that.
00:38:09It's in the name.
00:38:11Right?
00:38:12You know,
00:38:12in the first syllable.
00:38:13Exactly.
00:38:14Oh,
00:38:14man.
00:38:16So,
00:38:17talking about J.D. Vance
00:38:21and some of the other things
00:38:21that he's,
00:38:22some of his other stellar performances
00:38:24of late,
00:38:25this is the guy
00:38:26who threatened
00:38:27the governor of Illinois,
00:38:30Pritzker,
00:38:32for,
00:38:33to justify
00:38:35ICE going in.
00:38:36he came up with the line
00:38:42that Pritzker was
00:38:43mishandling crime
00:38:44in Chicago.
00:38:45And that was what justifies
00:38:47having ICE
00:38:48and military troops
00:38:50going into Chicago.
00:38:51this is a guy
00:38:54who said
00:38:56that the new
00:38:56U.S.
00:38:57military mission
00:38:58is to
00:39:00crush drug cartels.
00:39:03That's
00:39:03none of this,
00:39:06you know,
00:39:06protecting the nation
00:39:07from
00:39:08attacks
00:39:10by foreign powers.
00:39:13It's,
00:39:13their new mission
00:39:14is to go after drug cartels.
00:39:15And this
00:39:16justifies
00:39:17the sinking
00:39:17of the two boats
00:39:19down in
00:39:20and around
00:39:22Venezuela.
00:39:24And just like
00:39:25the
00:39:26expected layoffs
00:39:28of CDC experts
00:39:29where they were
00:39:31fired one day,
00:39:32rehired the next day,
00:39:34and he was the one
00:39:35who came up
00:39:36with the whole thing
00:39:37about
00:39:37they'd been fired
00:39:39because of the shutdown.
00:39:42And they just wanted
00:39:43to see federal workers
00:39:44happy and healthy
00:39:45was his term.
00:39:47And that's achieved
00:39:49by,
00:39:49apparently,
00:39:50that's from
00:39:51the perspective
00:39:52of the White House,
00:39:53that's achieved
00:39:54by
00:39:55firing them.
00:39:58Somehow makes them
00:39:59happy and
00:40:00healthy.
00:40:02But
00:40:02these are people
00:40:04in the same way,
00:40:04I would like to point out,
00:40:06in the same way
00:40:07that
00:40:07J.D. Vance
00:40:08cares about mothers
00:40:09having enough food
00:40:11for their children
00:40:11back in his ABC rant
00:40:13that I just
00:40:13can't leave alone.
00:40:15Yeah,
00:40:16the hypocrisy
00:40:17is
00:40:17spellbinding.
00:40:20Yeah,
00:40:20exactly.
00:40:21And just the
00:40:21application of
00:40:23flat out,
00:40:25the inverse
00:40:26of what you mean,
00:40:27just
00:40:27lying flat out
00:40:29to the face
00:40:30of whoever
00:40:31will listen
00:40:31because they feel
00:40:32that it makes them
00:40:33look strong,
00:40:35maybe,
00:40:36or it does,
00:40:37apparently,
00:40:38to their base,
00:40:39make them look
00:40:40very strong
00:40:40to be able
00:40:41to say
00:40:43these things.
00:40:44This is not
00:40:45exactly new
00:40:46for them.
00:40:47This is their
00:40:47sort of playbook
00:40:49that they've used
00:40:50consistently,
00:40:50and we are,
00:40:52of course,
00:40:53in for getting it
00:40:54as long as
00:40:55they're there
00:40:55and as long as
00:40:57they can get away
00:40:58with it,
00:40:58as long as
00:40:58their base
00:40:59will support them.
00:41:00They will continue
00:41:01to do the same
00:41:02things that they
00:41:02think work.
00:41:05Speaking of that,
00:41:06speaking of things
00:41:07they do
00:41:07because they
00:41:08think it works,
00:41:09that brings us
00:41:10to the issue
00:41:11of Trump's
00:41:11war on America.
00:41:13And we know
00:41:14that that's
00:41:16another issue
00:41:18for,
00:41:19I mentioned
00:41:20ICE briefly,
00:41:21and another issue
00:41:22tied into that
00:41:23is that Trump
00:41:24has said
00:41:25that he's
00:41:25targeting groups
00:41:26that he sees
00:41:28as having
00:41:29attacked ICE.
00:41:31And this is
00:41:32another one
00:41:33of his
00:41:33justifications
00:41:34for reinforcing
00:41:36them with
00:41:37National Guard
00:41:38and continuing
00:41:39to assault
00:41:41American citizens.
00:41:42And I'm sure
00:41:43maybe there are
00:41:44some who are
00:41:45some of the
00:41:47people that ICE
00:41:47go after
00:41:48are actually
00:41:48the criminals
00:41:50that are illegals
00:41:51that he says
00:41:52they are.
00:41:53There might be
00:41:54some,
00:41:55but mostly
00:41:57what we see
00:41:57are American
00:41:59citizens being
00:42:00tackled in the
00:42:01streets,
00:42:02in the hallways,
00:42:02and that
00:42:04is
00:42:05the
00:42:06very
00:42:08intended
00:42:08actions
00:42:10that he wants
00:42:11them to pursue
00:42:11because that's
00:42:12all they're doing.
00:42:14And that also
00:42:16the issue
00:42:17of
00:42:17these
00:42:18alleged
00:42:19attacks
00:42:19on ICE,
00:42:20some by groups
00:42:21that don't
00:42:21actually even
00:42:22exist,
00:42:23but they're
00:42:24able to
00:42:24somehow pull
00:42:25off these
00:42:25attacks
00:42:26that don't
00:42:27happen.
00:42:28So there's
00:42:28sort of this
00:42:29negative thing
00:42:30going on.
00:42:30I don't
00:42:31know how
00:42:31that,
00:42:32if there's
00:42:33some sort
00:42:35of animation
00:42:36that can be
00:42:36made for it
00:42:37or something
00:42:38that would
00:42:38help get
00:42:39the point
00:42:39across,
00:42:39but these
00:42:41non-attacks
00:42:42by non-existing
00:42:44groups
00:42:44are used
00:42:46to justify
00:42:49his invasion
00:42:50by Texans
00:42:51into Illinois.
00:42:54And we'll
00:42:56see how
00:42:56that,
00:42:57you know,
00:42:57we'll see
00:42:57what that
00:42:58brings next
00:43:00because it's
00:43:00going to
00:43:00continue.
00:43:02Meanwhile,
00:43:03there is
00:43:05at least
00:43:06a little
00:43:06bit of
00:43:06good news
00:43:07on these
00:43:08fronts,
00:43:09and that
00:43:09is,
00:43:10you may
00:43:10recall,
00:43:11there was
00:43:11a guy
00:43:13who
00:43:14attacked
00:43:15the governor
00:43:15of Pennsylvania
00:43:17when he
00:43:18and his
00:43:18family were
00:43:19at home
00:43:19celebrating
00:43:20holidays,
00:43:22that there
00:43:22was a guy
00:43:23who attempted
00:43:23to commit
00:43:25arson on
00:43:26their home
00:43:26while they
00:43:27were in
00:43:27it,
00:43:28and that
00:43:29guy was
00:43:29caught
00:43:30and was
00:43:31just
00:43:31sentenced
00:43:32a few
00:43:32days
00:43:33ago
00:43:33to
00:43:33between
00:43:3525 and
00:43:3550 years
00:43:36in prison.
00:43:39So it
00:43:40looks like
00:43:41there are
00:43:42times that
00:43:42the justice
00:43:43system can
00:43:43actually pull
00:43:44through,
00:43:46that a good
00:43:48decision is
00:43:48made and a
00:43:49justifiable
00:43:50one is made,
00:43:51and that
00:43:52guy will
00:43:53see what
00:43:54happens when
00:43:55he gets
00:43:55out in
00:43:5525 years.
00:43:57We can
00:43:58still prosecute
00:43:58some people
00:43:59apparently,
00:44:00but it's
00:44:00the ones
00:44:00we can't
00:44:01that trouble
00:44:01me.
00:44:03Yeah,
00:44:03excellent point.
00:44:04We'll have
00:44:04to see
00:44:05exactly how
00:44:07far that
00:44:07ability goes,
00:44:09and we
00:44:10will find
00:44:10out because
00:44:11they will
00:44:11test it
00:44:12every day
00:44:12until it
00:44:14happens.
00:44:17And that
00:44:18kind of
00:44:18brings us
00:44:18around to
00:44:19our next
00:44:19segment,
00:44:20actually.
00:44:21We have
00:44:21a new
00:44:22segment
00:44:22that is
00:44:23called
00:44:24Fascism
00:44:25Creeps.
00:44:28And this
00:44:28will be
00:44:29a segment
00:44:30where we
00:44:31talk about
00:44:31what's
00:44:32happening
00:44:32with
00:44:32fascism
00:44:33in America
00:44:34because,
00:44:36as we
00:44:36all know,
00:44:37we're
00:44:37already
00:44:37beyond the
00:44:38opening
00:44:38stages of
00:44:39it happening,
00:44:40and we're
00:44:41well into
00:44:42seeing how
00:44:43that plays
00:44:44out in
00:44:44our
00:44:44streets,
00:44:46in the
00:44:46streets of
00:44:47American
00:44:47cities.
00:44:49Apparently,
00:44:50there are
00:44:52there's a
00:44:53video of
00:44:54Kristi
00:44:54Noem
00:44:55blaming
00:44:56the
00:44:57Democrats
00:44:57for
00:44:58Trump's
00:45:00shutdown
00:45:00to help
00:45:02with his
00:45:02spin efforts
00:45:03to try to
00:45:04blame it
00:45:04on somebody
00:45:05else.
00:45:06And there
00:45:07are apparently
00:45:08multiple
00:45:08airports
00:45:09that have
00:45:10refused to
00:45:11play the
00:45:12video as
00:45:13part of
00:45:14their daily
00:45:14presentations
00:45:15of material.
00:45:16So,
00:45:17this is
00:45:18actually a
00:45:19good news
00:45:21story in
00:45:23fascism
00:45:23creeps
00:45:24because the
00:45:25creep is
00:45:25almost pushed
00:45:26back slightly
00:45:27by not
00:45:29supporting the
00:45:30video lies
00:45:35being spread.
00:45:36Do you know
00:45:36anything more
00:45:37about that?
00:45:37Or is there
00:45:38anything else you
00:45:38wanted to say
00:45:38about the
00:45:39Kristi Noem
00:45:40thing?
00:45:41You know,
00:45:42just to second
00:45:43what you said
00:45:44that it's some
00:45:45welcome good news.
00:45:47We're seeing a
00:45:48little bit of
00:45:48solidarity from
00:45:49some quarter
00:45:50in this
00:45:50country and
00:45:52being forced
00:45:53to play
00:45:54propaganda at
00:45:54the airport.
00:45:56Whew,
00:45:56brother,
00:45:57that would
00:45:57just sounds
00:45:58like a
00:45:58chilling thing
00:45:59to actually
00:45:59live through.
00:46:00If I was
00:46:00walking through
00:46:01the airport
00:46:01and Kristi
00:46:02Noem was
00:46:04just glaring
00:46:05down at me
00:46:05talking about
00:46:06how Democrats
00:46:07are terrible
00:46:08and I better
00:46:08watch my step
00:46:09and oh my
00:46:11God,
00:46:11that's a Tom
00:46:12Cruise movie.
00:46:14That's not
00:46:15okay.
00:46:16that freaks
00:46:19me out
00:46:20and I'm
00:46:20glad
00:46:20that
00:46:22not just
00:46:24one or
00:46:25two or
00:46:25a handful
00:46:25of airports
00:46:26but basically
00:46:27what all
00:46:28of them
00:46:28in due
00:46:29time
00:46:29told her
00:46:30to go
00:46:30fly a
00:46:31kite
00:46:31on that
00:46:31point.
00:46:32Thank
00:46:32goodness.
00:46:33Oh my
00:46:33gosh.
00:46:35I've seen
00:46:37so many
00:46:38institutions
00:46:38that I
00:46:39thought would
00:46:40hold
00:46:41against all
00:46:42the stuff
00:46:43that's going
00:46:43on.
00:46:43for one
00:46:46to actually
00:46:47hold and
00:46:48not crumble
00:46:49and give
00:46:50way is
00:46:51encouraging
00:46:52and I
00:46:54needed that.
00:46:55And there's
00:46:56other good
00:46:56news this
00:46:57week.
00:46:59The press
00:47:01expressed
00:47:03some solidarity
00:47:04against the
00:47:04Pentagon
00:47:05and that's
00:47:07another
00:47:07heartwarming
00:47:08story because
00:47:10the press
00:47:10hasn't always
00:47:11been exemplary
00:47:11in all of
00:47:13this.
00:47:13they occasionally
00:47:14have taken
00:47:14the low
00:47:15road more
00:47:15than
00:47:15occasionally.
00:47:16One might
00:47:17say frequently
00:47:18and that's
00:47:19been a real
00:47:20bummer man
00:47:20because I'm
00:47:21a fan of
00:47:21journalism and
00:47:22I believe in
00:47:24what it can
00:47:24do and
00:47:25for it to
00:47:26capitulate so
00:47:28often.
00:47:29It was nice
00:47:29to see it
00:47:29some
00:47:31journalists
00:47:32and I guess
00:47:34I should
00:47:34explain the
00:47:35Pentagon
00:47:35wanted to
00:47:36we already
00:47:36talked about
00:47:37this didn't
00:47:37we?
00:47:38We did talk
00:47:39a little bit
00:47:39about it but
00:47:40it certainly
00:47:40belongs in
00:47:41this segment
00:47:42of the
00:47:43creep of
00:47:43fascism so
00:47:44please.
00:47:46Well yeah
00:47:46I'm just
00:47:47getting the
00:47:47lead out about
00:47:48how heartened
00:47:49I am that
00:47:49journalists I
00:47:51wish they had
00:47:52hung together
00:47:52when it with
00:47:53the Gulf of
00:47:54America business
00:47:56came along and
00:47:57the Associated
00:47:57Press said no
00:47:58we're not going
00:47:59to do that
00:48:00that's dumb
00:48:00and that's all
00:48:01yours.
00:48:02We are actually
00:48:03journalists and
00:48:03we're going to
00:48:04call things by
00:48:04their proper
00:48:05names you
00:48:06fantasizing
00:48:07weirdos and
00:48:08so they got
00:48:09excommunicated
00:48:09from the
00:48:10White House
00:48:10and I
00:48:12don't know
00:48:12that any
00:48:13other newspaper
00:48:14or outlet
00:48:16blog town
00:48:18crier has
00:48:19stepped up in
00:48:20solidarity to
00:48:22do the exact
00:48:23same thing
00:48:23what they
00:48:24should do is
00:48:25do the exact
00:48:26same thing
00:48:26and all get
00:48:27kicked out until
00:48:27there's no
00:48:28journalist left
00:48:28in the room
00:48:29and he can
00:48:29tell it to
00:48:30the penny
00:48:31saver but
00:48:34none of that
00:48:34happened and
00:48:35so for them
00:48:36to hang
00:48:36together here
00:48:36in this
00:48:39way
00:48:39I don't
00:48:42know what
00:48:42I don't know
00:48:43what I should
00:48:44attribute to
00:48:45what I should
00:48:45attribute the
00:48:47newfound courage
00:48:48but I hope it
00:48:49stays found.
00:48:50It's a good
00:48:51example and
00:48:51let's hope that
00:48:52they pick up a
00:48:53lesson from it
00:48:54and actually
00:48:54follow through
00:48:55on other
00:48:56issues so
00:48:58you're absolutely
00:48:58right I agree
00:48:59with you.
00:49:00Another issue
00:49:01that has
00:49:03come up
00:49:05on a story
00:49:06that we also
00:49:07mentioned
00:49:07previously
00:49:08we talked
00:49:09about the
00:49:09Texans
00:49:10invading
00:49:10Illinois
00:49:11and oddly
00:49:14enough after
00:49:14Pete Hegseth's
00:49:17warrior culture
00:49:19thing
00:49:21storytelling time
00:49:22whatever it
00:49:22was
00:49:23exactly
00:49:26one of the
00:49:28big points
00:49:28he made
00:49:29was and
00:49:30also there'll
00:49:31be no more
00:49:32toleration of
00:49:33fat troops
00:49:34and fat
00:49:34generals
00:49:35we don't
00:49:36want no
00:49:36fatties
00:49:36no admirals
00:49:38none of it
00:49:38yeah
00:49:39and so
00:49:42interestingly
00:49:43enough as
00:49:44the Texas
00:49:44National Guard
00:49:46guys were
00:49:46rolling out
00:49:47of one of
00:49:48their trucks
00:49:49it was spotted
00:49:50that half of
00:49:51them were
00:49:51well overweight
00:49:53very heavy
00:49:55set gentlemen
00:49:55and so
00:49:57apparently
00:49:58that group
00:50:02at least
00:50:02were called
00:50:03back
00:50:04they were
00:50:05pushed back
00:50:06to go
00:50:07they were
00:50:07returned to
00:50:08Texas
00:50:09for
00:50:10proper
00:50:12calisthenics
00:50:14or steer
00:50:16you know
00:50:16with the
00:50:16steers
00:50:17they
00:50:17barbecue
00:50:19you mean
00:50:19steers
00:50:20random
00:50:20yeah
00:50:21okay
00:50:21yeah
00:50:22random

00:50:25back for
00:50:25that
00:50:26I don't
00:50:26know
00:50:26exactly
00:50:27but
00:50:28they were
00:50:29called
00:50:29back
00:50:30because
00:50:30they
00:50:31were

00:50:32not
00:50:33not
00:50:34meeting

00:50:35has
00:50:35just
00:50:36been

00:50:41that
00:50:41I
00:50:42guess
00:50:42I guess

00:50:46because
00:50:47those guys

00:50:48there
00:50:48I guess
00:50:49that's

00:50:50that
00:50:50takes

00:50:55I mean
00:50:56if they
00:50:56wanted

00:58:37the

00:58:38was
00:58:39the
00:58:39corpse
00:58:40hostages
00:58:40were
00:58:41not
00:58:42released
00:58:42by
00:58:43Hamas
00:58:43and
00:58:44eventually
00:58:45I believe
00:58:46they've
00:58:46at this
00:58:48point
00:58:48I believe
00:58:48four of
00:58:49the 28
00:58:50corpses
00:58:50that were
00:58:52not released
00:58:52have been
00:58:53but the
00:58:54Israelis
00:58:55are saying
00:58:55well
00:58:56the agreement
00:58:56was
00:58:57all the
00:58:57hostages
00:58:58and then
00:58:59we have
00:58:59the aid
00:59:00in
00:59:00so they're
00:59:01saying
00:59:01we're going
00:59:01to slow
00:59:02down the aid
00:59:02we're not
00:59:03going to
00:59:03let as
00:59:03much
00:59:04through
00:59:04we'll
00:59:04let half
00:59:05in
00:59:05but the
00:59:06other half
00:59:06will be
00:59:06held back
00:59:07because you
00:59:07guys kept
00:59:08the corpse
00:59:09hostages
00:59:09and
00:59:10so
00:59:12as
00:59:14unforeseen
00:59:17as it
00:59:18could possibly
00:59:18be
00:59:19that the
00:59:20Middle East
00:59:20would have
00:59:21conflict
00:59:21it seems
00:59:23that the
00:59:24ceasefire
00:59:25has
00:59:26started to
00:59:28generate
00:59:28more of
00:59:28a
00:59:29conflict
00:59:30than a
00:59:30solution
00:59:31and
00:59:32what was
00:59:32it
00:59:33everlasting
00:59:33peace
00:59:34that
00:59:36the deal
00:59:37was supposed
00:59:37to bring
00:59:38about
00:59:38so
00:59:39part of
00:59:42the issue
00:59:44is also
00:59:44that
00:59:45during the
00:59:45period
00:59:46of the
00:59:47Gaza
00:59:47the attacks
00:59:50on Gaza
00:59:50by Israel
00:59:51there were
00:59:52a number
00:59:53of Arab
00:59:54states
00:59:54that were
00:59:55secretly
00:59:57strengthening
00:59:58military ties
00:59:59with Israel
00:59:59so there's
01:00:01Bahrain
01:00:03and Jordan
01:00:03and Egypt
01:00:04and Qatar
01:00:05and Saudi
01:00:07Arabia
01:00:07to some
01:00:08degree
01:00:08that were
01:00:09actually
01:00:09strengthening
01:00:10their ties
01:00:11over
01:00:11actually a
01:00:13longer period
01:00:13not just
01:00:14during
01:00:15the time
01:00:17of the
01:00:17Gaza
01:00:18invasion
01:00:19but also
01:00:20basically
01:00:21from 2022
01:00:21to 2025
01:00:22so it
01:00:23included
01:00:24all of
01:00:24that time
01:00:25but they
01:00:27were thinking
01:00:27of the
01:00:28larger picture
01:00:28of being
01:00:29a counterbalance
01:00:29to Iran
01:00:30Egypt
01:00:32and Saudi
01:00:32Arabia
01:00:33have a
01:00:33long history
01:00:34of being
01:00:35the
01:00:35three
01:00:37power bases
01:00:38in the
01:00:39Arab world
01:00:40for a long
01:00:41time
01:00:41were Saudi
01:00:42Arabia
01:00:43Egypt
01:00:43and Iran
01:00:44and they
01:00:44kind of
01:00:45work against
01:00:47each other
01:00:48to try to
01:00:49show who's
01:00:50got the
01:00:50most
01:00:50you know
01:00:51who's on
01:00:52top
01:00:52so that
01:00:54sort of
01:00:54is still
01:00:57in
01:00:57still
01:00:58still exists
01:00:59I'm sure
01:00:59it always
01:01:00will exist
01:01:00there's
01:01:01I don't
01:01:01know that
01:01:01there's
01:01:02ever
01:01:02going to
01:01:04be that
01:01:04real
01:01:05magical
01:01:05eternal
01:01:07peace
01:01:07thing
01:01:08but
01:01:08part of
01:01:13Trump's
01:01:15ceasefire
01:01:17is all
01:01:17about how
01:01:18these other
01:01:19Arab nations
01:01:19are going to
01:01:19come in
01:01:20and help
01:01:20with being
01:01:21I guess
01:01:22some sort
01:01:22of a
01:01:22police
01:01:23so it's
01:01:24not a
01:01:24UN force
01:01:25that's going
01:01:25to move
01:01:27into Gaza
01:01:27it's going
01:01:28to be
