PhilHealth speeds up access to digital program after govt app integration  PhilHealth CEO Edwin Mercado tells _The Manila Times on Oct. 15, 2025 that access to the YAKAP program will soon be smoother and more reliable, following reports of technical difficulties experienced by users after its integration into the eGov PH app last July. Mercado said that the surge of users caused the platform to slow down, prompting PhilHealth to conduct a technical workshop within the next one to two weeks. 00:00So you talk of ease and accessibility through the YACA program, and back in July, it was integrated

00:06sa eGov app, but then some of the users encountered difficulties in terms of accessing it,

00:12and then you mentioned din nga po, Dr. Mercado, na mag-shift to a different server.

00:18So ano pong update this time around to make sure na mas accessible siya to our kababayans po?

00:30Actually, sa dami nung na-generate na interest, talaga nagkaroon ng konti, nabulunan ng konti.

00:37So ngayon, in fact, we met with Secretary Henry Aguda of DICT, at ino-offer niya na DICT na muna yung mag-host.

00:46So yun yung nag-uusapan namin, pati nga yung PSA, yung live test check na sinasabi.

00:56So hopefully, we will hold a workshop by hopefully this next week or the next two weeks.

01:03Pero immediately, sabi nila, available na daw yung additional space dun sa kanilang currently kanilang data warehouse.

01:12So we will just, siyempre may ano yun eh, mayroong pang mga tinatawag na APIs,

01:19parang mid-wear para mag-connect yung aming database at kanilang database.

01:23But at least within the month most probably, or early next month, ma-re-resolve na natin.

01:29Although ngayon, mas mo-hokey na tayo eh, kasi nabalanse na natin, unload natin.

01:34At saka nag-procure kami ngayon sa konser.

01:37Pero yun kay DICT, kay Hendo, Secretary Henry, nagdag tayo.
